If the buzzword for your next holiday is ‘self-care’, Eco Camp Terme Snovik will deliver – and how. This well-maintained site in the Snovik Valley of central Slovenia, a 45-minute drive from Ljubljana, is part of Terme Snovik, a large wellness complex with multiple saunas (all textile-free, so leave your inhibitions – and your swimsuit – at the door) and treatment rooms. There are also several Kneipp trails for barefoot walking (this is supposed to improve circulation and strengthen your muscles), plus heated indoor and outdoor swimming pools – the former with a Jacuzzi and mushroom spray fountains; the latter with a couple of waterslides and splendid views of fir-covered mountains – you’re at the foot of the Eastern Alps here, after all. And – good news – guests benefit from discounts on sauna and wellness services. It’s unlikely that the kids will grow restless while they wait for you to emerge from your massage or facial: in addition to the pool, there is a playground and a kids’ club. In fact, you might have to drag them away from the on-site activities and force them to join you on a cycle ride through the local hills (electric bikes are available for hire). The on-site restaurant serves traditional regional dishes accompanied by delicious Slovenian wines; if you want to take some of these home with you, make sure to visit the wineries in nearby Kamnik (15 minutes’ drive), where you can also find supermarkets and more dining options.

Liked Therme baths were lovely. Very clean and a reasonable price to get into. The outside ones were closed but couldn't be helped.
Over all a very clean and well organised site. We got there 2 hours before check in and we're given access to our pitch immediately. Everything was very clean and well keep.
Buffet dinner..... Very well priced. All food was home cooked and very fresh. Small selection but enough for even a fussy eater and tasted good.

Disliked Not enough facilities on the campsite. Only 1 toilet for men and 1 toilet for women. There was a large booking from a car club when we stayed. Unfortunately they had taken over the entire communal area Making it unusable for anyone else..... All the plug sockets were being used with extension leads, the communal kitchen and the tables all taken over. This made the communal area "out of access" for anyone else.

Disliked Il y a peu de douches et toilettes par rapport au nombre d'emplacements. Il n'y a rien pour cuisiner. Le rapport qualité prix par rapport à d'autres camping est mauvais

Liked Personale all’arrivo molto gentile e disponibile. Piazzola con una parte d’erba e una parte di sassi( non Fastidiosi) in modo da poter parcheggiare il camper su terreno stabile e mettere un tavolino con le sedie sull’erba, attacco elettrico ogni 4 piazzole, a fianco del campeggio scorre un ruscello che me è stato molto rilassante soprattutto di notte. Zona molto verde e con vari percorsi per passeggiate o giro in bici.
Non ho potuto provare il percorso kneipp ma è sicuramente qualcosa per cui tornare!

Disliked Forse da indicare meglio sul posto che il check anche per il campeggio si fa alla reception delle terme. Pochi bagni , 3 unità, uomo donna e disabili, ogni “stanza” aveva 1 wc, 1 doccia e 2 lavabo, consiglierei di mettere wc separati dal resto e magari aggiungere qualche servizio ( + docce e Wc)
La Zona Sauna e bagno turco dovrebbe essere un po’ più “controllata” per evitare che entrino con il costume ( in altre terme fanno uscire se non ci si adegua alle regole della sauna) .

Liked Great localisation. The nature around is amazing! We strongly recommend this place for cyclists:) i used electric bike my boyfriend normal one. You can make a day trip by bike to Vielka Planina. Also there is a great opportunity to go to Ljublana. We visited the city by bikes. About the camping - its clean and nice. We were using tent and we were alone on the campsite so we could choose our place.. About the toilets- those are modern and clean, opened only by the card.

Disliked Unfortunately for those who are comming in high season- there is only one stand with electricity- so either thale a long cable or have in your mind that u won’t be able to use the electricty in there.

The major problem is that there is just one toilet for woman and one toilet for man. So if the campsite is full it’s might be uncomfortable.

Liked Szép tiszta, rendezett camping. A fürdőszoba, wc is új és tiszta volt. Kellemes hangulatú.

Disliked Kevésnek bizonyul az egy wc és tusoló ha sok vendég van a camping területén. Lehetne egy kicsi konyha is, ahol van minimális konyhai felszerelés.

Local attractions

Dating back to the Middle Ages, Kamnik is a valley town overlooked by the ruins of the Stari grad nad Kamnikom castle, up on a forested hill. Take a stroll through the old town centre, stopping at the Frančiškanski samostan Kamnik church, with the Chapel of the Holy Sepulchre, whose walls are decorated with agriculturally themed paintings. Arboretum Volčji Potok in Radomlje (20 minutes’ drive) is worth a visit at any time of year. In spring and summer this botanical garden is a riot of vibrantly coloured roses and tulips, while in the winter it’s possible to stroll through paths illuminated by fairy lights. The conservatory houses a collection of cacti and tropical orchids. Ljubljana Castle (45 minutes) dominates the capital of Slovenia from a wooded plateau, which you can access via a modern glass funicular. After the castle, cross the river and take the kids to House of Illusions, a museum for the Instagram generation on leafy Kongresni Trg square.
