Small, lively and mighty family friendly, Vakantiepark de Molenhoek in Zeeland is pretty well packed with handy facilities. Whether you’re after a lazy break by the swimming pool or prefer to discover the island of Noord-Beveland on two wheels, this place has got you covered. Looking for activities for the whole family to join in? Yep, they’ve got that sorted for you too. To start with, the pool complex consists of three swimming areas: a toddler and paddling pool, a swimming pool with a water hose and slide for the kids, and the main pool where you can swim lengths (or just splash about after 10am). In high summer, there’s lots of organised fun for the whole family kicking off around the pools, and even out of high season there is loads of stuff for kids to do. A large playground sits at the centre of the campsite, with a sandpit, football field and trampoline keeping all ages happy. Several other slides, sand pits and climbing frames are scattered round and about too. There are two modern shower blocks – one with washing machines – with underfloor heating, family showers (coin operated) and baby rooms. Other handy amenities include charging stations for electric cars, and bikes for hire so you can get around the island by pedal power. Don’t feel much like cooking? No problem – you can root out all-day supplies and takeaways at self-service ’t Brasserietje snack bar, or dine on the à la carte menu in the stylish brasserie, which has a terrace so you can keep an eye on your kids in the pool.

Liked: The showers and toilets were really clean. My children loved the animation game week, and the gocarts for hire. A very restful week, live music at the restaurant on two occasions was good. Liked that you could walk to nearby town with supermarket and restaurants.

Liked: Es war super! Alles war sauber und einfach sehr schön gemacht. Auch die Events ..vor allem die Vogelschau war so toll.
Auch die Bereizschaft auszuhelfen. Wir wollten spontan noch eine Nacht bleiben aber der Platz war ausgebucht. Man bot uns dann die Möglichkeit einfach eine kleine Wiese zu nutzen. Einfach Mega. Wir kommen wieder 😀

Such a wonderful campsite with a lovely feel.
Immaculate throughout, every detail had been thrughtnout with neat grass edges, beautiful flower pots and hard standing pitches made of shells.
The restaurant is very modern and tasteful. Reasonably priced menu with gorgeous wine and beer amd great ice creams for the children. The play park was brilliant, held the interest of two 10 year old. The park amd pool are right next to the bar and restaurant so we could watch the children play whilst enjoying a drink.
Great location to cycle to beach, town and country park. I feel in love with the area. We will be back!

Liked: Loved the pool area, private pitches, friendly staff and very clean.

Disliked: Toilets are all gender neutral so did not feel comfortable sending children to the toilet alone. Also more sinks could be useful in the toilet area.

Local attractions

You’re never far from the sea when staying at Vakantiepark de Molenhoek. The reclaimed island of the Noord-Beveland has a sandy beach at Banjaardstrand, popular with sunbathers and kitesurfers, and there’s a smaller beach on manmade Neeltje Jans (both 10 minutes’ drive). For more watery fun, rent a sailing dinghy, go water skiing or try kayaking on Veerse Meer (15 minutes). Find out about the inner workings of the flood barrier at Oosterscheldelaan (10 minutes), or take family days out in the aquarium and waterpark at Deltapark Neeltje Jans (15 minutes). A trio of pretty villages await exploration too; photogenic Colijnsplaat has a fishing harbour – try fresh lobster straight off the boats at a restaurant overlooking the jetty. Kortgenebith (both 15 minutes) has lots of waterside dining, and Kamperland (five minutes) is watersports central with a modern marina. On the neighbouring island of Walcheren, historic Veere (15 minutes) has lots of gabled houses, an interactive history display in the Grote Kerk and changing art exhibitions in Veere Museum.

All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Arrivals and departures

If the reception is closed on arrival, please check in at the restaurant.
Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
The site will send you further check-in information 7 day(s) before your arrival.

Changes to your holiday

Modifications are subject to a €12.00 (£10.36) fee.

Extras
