Folk who concern themselves that boredom may strike their nippers while on hols, this one’s for you. Even the most restless small sorts will be hard pressed to run out of things to do around RCN Vakantiepark De Jagerstee, a fably family-friendly site in the woods four kilometres from Epe. Settle in here and it’s quite likely there’ll be a bit of dithering over which day out to pick first: animal parks, amusement parks, steam train rides, waterskiing, a treetop adventure trail, a royal palace, an aviation-focused theme park… all are within a leisurely half-hour drive of the site. And that’s not all you need consider when planning how long you’ll need for your holiday: you’d be well advised to factor in time for all the stuff there is to do on site. Many an hour/day could be spent without even venturing beyond the gates, splashing around in the outdoor pool and paddling pool, playing table tennis, miniature golf or team sports, or zooming round the go-kart track. An indoor play forest caters for less clement days, and there’s also playground kit spread around the site, much of it within viewing distance of the spacious pitches for parents who need a breather. In summer, there’s also a busy programme of kids’ activities to take them off your hands for a little while. One thing you needn’t allocate much time for is foodie foraging: the site has a well-stocked shop, along with a restaurant, bar and café.

Local attractions

Animal antics galore are within easy reach of here: a deer park is in Epe, and it's under half an hour's drive to Apenheul monkey park or the Dolfinarium in Harderwijk. Burgers’ Zoo, one of the country’s biggest, is just over half an hour away in Arnhem. For rides and rollercoasters, Walibi Holland and the Julianatoren theme parks are both around 25 minutes’ drive from the site. You can also leave the ground behind on the treetop trails of Klimbos Veluwe or get stuck into all things flight-related at aviation-themed Aviodrome, both of which are about half an hour away. Back on the ground, there are steam train rides to be had from Dieren, and a splendid 17th-century palace and gorgeous gardens to wander around at Het Loo Palace; both are about half an hour away.

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Dogs

Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.

Extras

Motorbike(s) can be brought instead of the car(s) included.

General

Bookings are nominative and non-transferable.
