Settle down in the Salento, at a spot that’s very well situated for trips to the coast, activities in the countryside or history-themed exploring. In the midst of a thick pine forest 10 minutes’ drive from Manduria is Villaggio Tiziana, a family-friendly site with plenty of facilities provided for all ages. Spending some time on site here might involve several hours by/in the large outdoor swimming pool (which also has a kids’ pool), a bit of gentle competition at the tennis court or football field, or keeping an eye on the kids while they mess about at the playground. Eating and drinking are always good ways to fill holiday time too, of course – and that’s particularly true here, where you’ll have access to an excellent restaurant with a wood-fired pizza oven, a café and a barbecue area (plus a shop to provide supplies). Sooner or later, you'll want to head out, however – especially when you hear that the coast is only a kilometre and a half away, with a good selection of equipped beaches, long stretches of free sandy beach and clean, shallow waters that are just right for kids to swim and paddle in. To make life nice and easy, the site runs a shuttle service to the beach throughout the high season. There are lots of facilities to make life on site easy, as well – these include a launderette, a dog park, a motorhome service point and a wifi service.

Liked: Niente, forse la tranquilla del campeggio, dato che era vuoto, quasi macabro direi.

Disliked: Mai avuta una esperienza del genere. Il campeggio era tranquillo fino alle 22.00. A quell'ora iniziava il frastuono dell'animazione nella zona piscina. L'animazione era per gli ospiti del ristorante che cenavano lì. Animazione fatta di arrangiatori musica che cantavano musica orribile, urlando e stonando all'esasperazione.
La piscina sporca, piena di capelli, acqua bianca putrida. Ci sarò andata una volta e poi mi è venuto il disgusto più la paura di qualche infezione.
Bagni sporchissimi, sempre intasati, otturati. La signora delle pulizie si svegliava verso le 8.30, quindi prima di quell'ora il bagno è sporco, ma libero. Dopo le 8.30 invece la signora pulisce e tu aspetti fuori una 20 Min per fare asciugare il pavimento. Se si otturava uno dei gabinetti mentre tu eri nell'altro, la signora delle pulizie entrava dicendo " c'è qualcuno nei bagni?" "Deve uscire perché si sono otturati". Se non uscivi in tempo il rischio era di essere inondata di cacca. Arrivava il ragazzo tuttofare del campeggio che con il suo strumento artigianale sturava il gabinetto. Ogni mattina, pomeriggio era questo. Le docce erano: bollenti ( da ustione) la mattina, fredde gelide la sera. Io riempivo la tanica per non farmi la doccia gelata la sera. Le docce interne erano 3, 1 senza porta, 2 con porte a soffietto rotte e piene di muffa. Nelle foto vedrete anche i lavatoi con tubi rotti che offrono il servizio di lavaggio piedi non incluso. Cioè l'acqua con cui lavi i vestiti ti cade giù sui piedi.
Raccolta differenziata inesistente. E puzza di spazzatura che sentivi appena entravo nel camping.
Campeggio pet- friendly ma questo significa cacca dei cani ovunque perché i cani sono sciolti. Amo gli animali e amo la natura e il contatto con essa, ma le cacche di cani non miei nella mia piazzola sparse qua e la non mi piace.

Disliked: Da evitare! Preso una piazzole per la famiglia. Non è da me scrivere recensioni negative ma spero di salvare la vacanza a qualche turista che sceglie la bellissima Puglia per le proprie vacanze! Ovunque ma non qui! Bagni sempre sporchi! Si otturavano ad ogni defecazione! Arrivava l'addetto 'tuttofare'con il suo attrezzo artigianale per spilare i wc! Necessita di un intervento di spurgo serio e fatto da una ditta! Porte a soffietto delle docce rotte! Se chiudi da una parte dall'altra si apre inoltre erano piene di muffa! Praticamente le mattonelle erano nere! Porte dei bagni senza chiave o lucchetto! Chiunque poteva aprire mentre eri al bagno! Lavandini sempre otturati Lavatoi con sifoni rotti metre lavavi i piatti o i panni ti bagnavi I piedi. Docce gratis? Si ma senza acqua calda! Mio figlio piangeva! E quindi ho messo a riscaldare le bottiglie al sole per fargli la doccia la sera. Insomma nel terzo mondo! Sarei andata via di corsa ma non ho trovato campeggi liberi nelle vicinanze! Piscina con acqua torbida. Senza odore di cloro! Acqua torbida non scherzo! Mattonelle rotte Ovunque. Plafoniere che si mantenevano appese al soffitto con i fili della corrente senza viti! Animazione? Cosa i cantanti anni 70 che piacevano sicuramente al proprietario? Animazione è ben altro. Invece di spendere soldi per i cantanti fate manutenzione perché le persone sicuramente non ritornano! Quasi tutti i campeggiatori conosciuti si lamentavano di queste cose! Insomma che dire...mi dispiace ma girando tanti campeggi questo è il peggiore di tutti perché manca l'essenziale. Ha bisogno di essere ristrutturato! Così com'è è indecente! Da denuncia ai Nas.

Local attractions

To the beach? You’ll have a bit of a choice, as there are some lovely ones to pick from around here – white sands, crystal-clear sea and all that. Among the top picks are the dunes of Campomarino and the sands at Monaco Mirante (both 10 minutes’ drive). Another way to get a good look at the coast is to walk along the banks of the Chidro river, which leads down to the sea close by. Look a little further afield to Taranto (50 minutes) and you can go out on boat trips to spot the dolphins that live in these waters. Alternatively, head to Porto Cesareo (half an hour) for cruises with a stopoff for some spectacular snorkelling. Fancy mixing all this up with a bit of culture and history? Pay a visit to the Mura Messapiche archeological park (15 minutes), explore the Ceramics Museum in Grottaglie (35 minutes) or step back in history at Castello De Falconibus (half an hour). Or you could always take an educational tour of The Museum of Primitivo Wine (15 minutes)…
