Bag a berth at Camping Tiglio for a Brescia break by the waters of Lake Garda – this family-run site is in a sweet spot on the lake’s south-east shore, with two and a half hectares of scenic green space and views out over the water. Pitch up here to be partway between pretty Peschiera del Garda five minutes’ drive away and the swish resort town of Sirmione, 20 minutes away on a little peninsula jutting out into the lake. Beach areas, wineries and lakeside restaurants are all nearby for those seeking serene days out; trips to Gardaland, Movieland and Canevaworld waterpark are around 15 minutes away for families with an eye on more energetic pursuits. Those who’ve brought the bambini along on their break will no doubt be chuffed to see that there’s a playground where they can let off a little steam, and a paddling pool alongside the main outdoor pool for cooling off afterwards. There’s a bar to keep all supplied with cool drinks; you won’t go hungry either if you’ve settled in for the full day, as the restaurant serves up breakfasts, lunches and dinners to have on the terrace, or pizza to take away. The terrace is also the setting for music evenings every Wednesday and Saturday from mid June to the end of August. Self-catering sorts are welcome to fire up a barbecue here; all the necessaries are on the shelves of the site’s well-stocked mini market, which also takes a welcome daily delivery of freshly baked bread.

Liked: wir hatten einen Zeltplatz sehr nahe am See, wunderschön!
Es gibt einen kleinen Shop am Platz, mit allem was man braucht, Fahrräder zum Ausleihen und ein Restaurant, in dem man ganz gut essen kann.

Disliked: Die Sauberkeit der Sanitäranlagen war zuweilen nicht optimal.

Great location, but watch the midges
Access to towns along the south bank of the lake easy access via local transport (Bus / Taxi), Peschiera is a lovely walk along the lake, where you can take a ferry to Sirmione.

Disliked: Pitch allocated to us was to small for our motorhome, finally got a pitch but not in the quiet area as requested, badly organised, it appeared to be on a land grab basis.
The toilets were lacking toilet paper & hand drying towels for two days out of the six we were there.

Disliked: Toiletten waren ohne Papier, Duschen und WC ständig verschmutz. Müll aus den Duschen wurde nie entfernt. Amateuren, Haken für Bekleidung abgebrochen, Türen konnten nicht verschlossen werden. Ein ständiger Lärm am Platz, bis teilweise tief in die Nacht. Angestellte und Camper lassen ihre Hund frei laufen, nicht nur einmal Tretmienen vor dem Camper. WLAN müsste erst erfragt werden.

Liked: Der Platz ist gut ausgestattet. Kurze Wege zum Pool, Restaurant und Strand. Viele Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe. Sirmione mit dem Fahrrad schnell erreichbar. Es gibt auch ein Shuttle nach Sirmone. (Letzte fahrt zurück schon um 19:45) Haben wir nicht genutzt.
Das Personal ist sehr nett und freundlich.

Plätze in der Kategorie +€/++€ empfehlenswert.
Fahrrad mitnehmen oder direkt am Platz ausleihen.

Disliked: Die Sanitäreinrichtung sind in die Jahre gekommen und müssen mal auf den neusten Stand gebracht werden. Guten WLAN-Empfang gibt es nur im 100m Bereich der Rezeption.

Badekappen Nutzung im Pool war nicht so toll aber ok.

Liked: Bardzo miła obsługa w recepcji. Urzekło mnie patrzenie na klienta, a nie na własne korzyści. Jedynie korzystanie z basenu - trzeba mieć czepek, nie każdemu to pasuje, no i przeganianie z niego o 19:00 gdy chcą zamknąć. nawet minutki nie można było dłużej. restauracja fantastyczna. widok piękny. blisko jeziora. polecam!

Liked: Stellplatz in der ersten Reihe mit Blick auf den See war toll, es gab zwei direkte Zugänge zum See, Mitarbeiter freundlich, Restaurant/Bar sehr lecker, alles auf dem Platz vorhanden

Disliked: Sanitäranlagen könnten sauberer sein und sind deutlich in die Jahre gekommen, die Auswahl im Shop bei Lebensmitteln könnte etwas größer sein

Local attractions

If staring at the stunning lake waters hasn’t quite sent you into the desired state of relaxation just yet, help things along a little with a spa soak at Terme di Sirmione (five minutes’ drive) or Terme Di Colà (15 minutes). Prefer something a little cooler? Head to the little beach area at Punta Grò to paddle in the lake waters. Sirmione (20 minutes) is a stunning little town, and one of the lake’s must-sees. Once you’ve walked to the end of the peninsula to see the ruined Roman villa and 13th-century Rocca Scaligera castle, potter through the pedestrianised streets (gelato in hand, of course) or follow the panoramic trail for long-ranging lake views. Guests with a romantic streak may like to follow in the footsteps of Romeo and Juliet with a day trip to Verona (35 minutes’ drive); those with kids to keep entertained will possibly want to steer instead to the Movieland and Gardaland theme parks (15 minutes), Canevaworld waterpark (15 minutes) or Parco Natura Viva safari park (20 minutes).

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Changes to your holiday

Bookings cannot be amended within 5 day(s) of arrival.

Dogs

Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
Guide dogs are allowed on site free of charge.
Your dog must be tattooed or microchipped.

General

Bookings are nominative and non-transferable.
Discount cards and gift vouchers cannot be applied to bookings made via Pitchup.com.
In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.
Radio, music and TV players must be kept at a low volume. Car doors and boots must be closed quietly.
The grocery shop is open between 10/04 and 30/09.
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.

Pitches

Units should not be left unoccupied unless previously agreed with the management. Please speak to reception when the need arises, a fee may be charged for unsupervised units.
You must follow the management directives when pitching your tent/unit and related equipment.

Pool

Only park guests are authorised to use the pool.
Some facilities require the wearing of swim caps.
The outdoor swimming pool is open between 20/04 and 30/09 (subject to weather conditions).

Safety

Barbecues are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult at all times.
Firearms are not permitted.
Open fires are prohibited.

Vehicles

No cars/motorbikes by the pitch/unit. All cars must be parked in the designated area.
No vehicle movement between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m..
The car is only included in the rate if you are travelling with a touring caravan or a tent. If you wish to bring a car along with your motorhome/campervan please select the extra.

Visitors

Visitors’ cars are not permitted on site.
Visitors must leave the premises by 10 p.m..
Visitors must register at reception and pay their fee.
