Smashing Garda scenes and outdoor activity options of land and water await at peaceful Camping Trevisago Iris Park, on the outskirts of the village of Moniga del Garda, close to the main road along the south-western shore of Lake Garda. Splashing and swimming are sorted on site by its two well-maintained pools – a big one with a diving board for the grownups and a smaller one next door with a spongy floor for the littlies. There's also a public lake beach two kilometres from base, for paddles (au naturel should you fancy) as well as lots of watery pursuits such as boating, fishing, waterskiing, sailing and scuba diving. The historic centre of Moniga del Garda is only one and a half kilometres away too. For family activities, there is table football and ping pong on site. When you're ready to pick up supplies, two budget supermarkets lie handily close by.

Liked: Pool was good, all accessories to cook in your tent, good space, fridge and comfy beds. All round good stay. Nice staff.

Disliked: No toilet paper, showers was cold even with hot water. WiFi near the campsite not just reception.

Liked: Area tranquilla e silenziosa.

Disliked: Costo eccessivo per un camping che versa in stato di semi-abbandono, le piazzole erano un cumulo di foglie secche, i bagni non li ho mai visti pulire in quattro giorni, non hanno né carta né liquido per pulizia tavoletta e sono solo due "liberi". Ia piscina non c'è nessuno che controlli la pulizia (era piena di foglie in acqua che si potevano recuperare con il retino appeso al muro) e, magari, vietare di introdurre bevande alcoliche visto che mi sono trovato immezzo ad un "party" di ragazzi inglesi, ubriachi, che facevano casino. Potrebbe essere un ottimo campeggio se solo la direzione ci mettesse più cura nella gestione.

Liked: Nur was für Reisende die absolute Ruhe brauchen. Einziger Vorteil war die freie Platzwahl mit dem Wohnmobil.

Disliked: Sanitäranlagen gehen so. Keine Beschilderung , Müllplatz sucht man ewig, Pool wird schon um 19.00 Uhr geschlossen > eigentlich die Zeit in der man nach einem Tagesausflug sich noch erfrischen möchte. Insgesamt übertrieben teuer für die Qualität. Nie wieder.

Liked: Un grande ringraziamento a tutto lo staff per il loro impegno. Cortesia, gentilezza, sorrisi e attenzione, senza dimenticare la professionalità di tutti loro. La nostra settimana trascorsa nel vostro campeggio è stata una vera sorpresa. Frequentiamo da anni il zlago di Garda ma non abbiamo mai avuto il piacere di conoscere quest' angolo di pace, tra lago e monti a vista d' occhio. Siamo rimasti molto sorpresi e entusiasti. Dopo questa nostra esperienza presso il vostro campeggio abbiamo incontrato una nostra vicina di casa che ci ha raccontato che, anni fa, era una vostra abituée. Suo figlio Lele ha trascorso i suoi più bei anni da bambino e adolescente. Ci ha raccontato di un maneggio, di quanto siano stati felici a trascorrere le loro estate da voi. La gente cambia ma i ricordi restano. I miei nipotini hanno amato stare con noi, proprio lì, da voi. Grazie per i vostri sforzi per fare stare bene i vostri " clienti". Ci rivedremo. Local attractions

The lake provides many a tiptop outdoor activity both in and out of the water, from boat trips, fishing, sailing and scuba diving to canyoning, climbing, mountain biking, horse riding and paragliding. Visit the scuba diving centre in Manerba or the watersports centre in Bardolino for waterskiing, wakeboarding and paddleboarding, or take a trip to the lake’s unofficial capital Desenzano for swimming pools, riding schools and tennis courts. Alto Garda Bresciano Park also has several good walking and mountain biking trails to explore. As well as all the energetic stuff you can get involved in over at Desenzano, excellent eateries, bars and nightlife options are all within a handy 10 kilometres of Trevisago. Several villages, beaches and other top attractions around the lake are within easy reach too, and the cities of Brescia and Verona are both well within an hour’s drive. To keep the kids' appetite for excitement well and truly sated, take them to the neighbouring theme and family parks of Gardaland and CanevaWorld Waterpark Resort, a scenic 40-minute drive from base.
