What a beach. The sands at Comacchio's Holiday Village Florenz on Italy's Adriatic coast are not only exclusive to the site, they're also the setting of a watersports centre from which you can jet off merrily for a sunny day of windsurfing, sailing or canoeing from this beaut site's Po Delta Park locale. The village is in a pine forest that's part of the Po Delta Park, 30 kilometres north of Ravenna. Its beach has lifeguard cover in high season and is near several kilometres of public sands, including a stretch that's dog friendly. Around the area, you can join excursions from the site to explore the coast, sea and inland on foot or by bike or boat. And what a lot there is going on around the site too. Holiday Village Florenz has been designed to be accessible to all, including families with young kids and guests with limited mobility. This extends to their huge range of facilities and entertainment options too, such as a spa with a hot tub, Turkish bath, sauna and massages, a pool with sun loungers alongside, basketball courts, a beach volleyball court, a games room, outdoor fitness equipment and a football pitch. Entertainment and activities for all ages come in an excellent array of options too, including aqua gym and yoga classes, kids' games, sports tournaments and cabaret nights. To keep you fed and watered throughout it all, there are two restaurants with takeaway, and a well-stocked shop selling beach kit and souvenirs as well as food and drink. Among the family-friendly amenities at this big and well-maintained site are washrooms with showers, toilets and baby facilities; a drying room, a spacious launderette and a washing-up area are also on hand.

Liked: Schattiger Stellplatz mit Wasser und Abwasseranschluss inklusive Strom.

Strand ist 3 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar und alles ist sehr sauber.

Sanitär ist in die Jahre gekommen und wird täglich gereinigt.

Restaurant ist auf dem Gelände und ein Pool, welcher schon geschlossen war.

Mit dem Fahrrad oder Roller sind einige Orte in der Nähe erreichbar. Comacchio ist ca. 9 km entfernt.

Disliked: Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel sind nur selten unterwegs.

Liked: It’s a great site for families. The two sisters in the shop are lovely, friendly and helpful.

Disliked: Big sites are not our cup of tea, and although the trees for shade are great in the height of summer, it’s all too dark for our ideal holiday.

Liked: Der Platz ist sehr schön, ein wunderbarer Strand, sehr freundliches Personal.
Da wir am Ende der Saison dort waren, war z.B. der Pool nicht mehr offen, sodass wir das nicht bewerten können. Die Sanitäranlagen waren sauber und das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Disliked: An den Stellplätzen sind viele hohe Bäume, die v.a. im Sommer angenehm Schatten spenden. Leider sitzen auf diesen Bäumen auch viele Vögel, die immer wieder auf das Zelt gekackt haben... hier sollte man wissen, dass es ratsam ist, ein Vordach oder ähnliches zu haben, sonst riskiert man Taubenkacke im Essen.

Obchod, bazén, anim. programy, bary...
Na pláž je to pár desítek metrů. Pláž je čistá a udržovaná.
Můžete si sebou vzít i psí mazlíčky.

Local attractions

Once you've spent some time at the beach by the site, you only have to travel another kilometre to access boat trips on Comacchio Lagoon to see the fishing huts and flamingos. Go-karting, minibikes and motorbike riding are all at Circuito di Pomposa, three kilometres away. Like Venice, a couple of hours north, the village's local town of Comacchio (five kilometres away) is built on islets joined by bridges (although only 13 bits of land here compared to Venice's 118 islands). Just to the town's south, the still and peaceful Valli di Comacchio wetlands are home to the biggest variety of birds in Italy, including herons, kingfishers and flamingos. Walking and cycling trails are easily found in the Po Delta Park and the Mesola Forest, both 20 kilometres away; for city sightseeing, spectacular Ravenna, once capital of the Western Roman Empire, is within 30 kilometres and Ferrara, the province capital, within 50.

Booking terms and conditions

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.
Unsupervised minors must have a letter of authorisation from their parents or legal guardian.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Dogs

Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.

Extras

Basic electric hardstanding pitches: access to the swimming pool is not included in the rate and is charged €5.00 (£4.17) per person per day.
Motorbike(s) can be brought instead of the car(s) included.

General

Bookings are nominative and non-transferable.
Entertainment and activities are available between 20/05 and 10/09.
In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.
Quiet (afternoon) hours must be respected between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m..
