- Peaceful and family-friendly tourer site in Vesuvius National Park
- Naples 25 minutes’ drive and Herculaneum half an hour
- Arab horses on site; drinking water and showers available
Set in Vesuvius National Park, Manzi Hospitality is on a rural ranch where stunning Arabian horses are bred and cheeky goats roam freely. This small, peaceful Campania site offers just a few motorhome pitches, tucked under trees for shade from the sun and set right at the foot of the volcano Vesuvius itself.
Drinking water and showers are on hand, along with wifi. Kids are warmly welcomed, and dogs are permitted too; there is an exercise field designated for them to have a run around.
The convenient location of Manzi Hospitality means you can easily explore some of the best-known attractions in Italy… Pompeii, the Amalfi Coast, Naples, Herculaneum and, of course, Vesuvius are all within an hour’s drive of the ranch; the high-speed Circumvesuviana railway station is also within easy reach if you’d rather discover the region on public transport.
If you don’t fancy catching the train on your sightseeing jaunts, then the site can provide a courtesy service with a private car to take you wherever you want, at any time – maximum comfort that comes with an extra cost.

Local attractions
Chances are a trip up Mount Vesuvius (50 minutes’ drive) may be first on your sightseeing list; you can choose a guided tour or take yourself up there on foot – the view over the Bay of Naples is simply spectacular. If you’ve got kids with you, they may prefer a day playing on bumper cars and 3D simulators at Vesuviuslandia (20 minutes).
Destroyed by Vesuvius in AD 79, the Archaeological Park of Pompeii (35 minutes) deserves at least a day’s attention; there is so much to see, from the frescoes in the Villa of the Mysteries to the colonnades and pillars of the Forum and the well-preserved Stabian Baths. Herculaneum (half an hour) suffered in the same eruption, but areas of it have remained relatively intact; check out the glittering mosaics in the House of Neptune and Amphitrite.
The Campania coastline also beckons; Vietri sul Mare (40 minutes) is known for its sandy beaches and ceramic shops, and the nerve-tingling drive along the Amalfi Coast (an hour) is rewarded with bijou towns like Positano (about an hour and a half) clinging to precipitous cliffs. Heading north, Naples (25 minutes) is an intriguing city full of cultural museums, churches and catacombs.
