- Dog- and family-friendly site on a stunning Adriatic Sea beach
- A five-minute drive from Giulianova and 10 from Roseto degli Abruzzi
- Pools, waterslides, restaurants, kids’ club, shop and entertainment
Feel free as a bird during a beach break at Stork Camping Village in Abruzzo – a trip to this site on a private part of the Adriatic Sea coastline is bound to get moods soaring…
Small fry can spread their wings on the multiple slides at the swimming pool or race around the well-equipped playground. A beach volleyball court and games room also means amusement is on tap, and the entertainment team organises a kids’ club, creative workshops, tournaments and shows (for both the nippers and their carers).
All members of the family are welcome at this site, including the four-legged kind, with ample facilities to ensure your dog’s trip is just as cruisey as yours. There’s a walking area for a wander round, special showers for rinsing off afterwards and bag dispensers dotted about to help owners clean up after their canines.
Pet food’s for sale in the shop on site too, along with plenty of produce for people. A bar and pizzeria are on hand to keep you fuelled up, as well as a restaurant serving local specialities with a spectacular sea view.
More eateries are in the resort town of Roseto degli Abruzzi (a 10-minute drive), and this site in Teramo also has wifi so you can browse restaurant reviews before picking a place to dine.

Local attractions
This park plonks guests between the Adriatic Sea and the Apennine Mountains, so there’s masses to do in the local area. Begin at the 1,100-hectare Borsacchio nature reserve (10 minutes’ drive) for a walk among the Mediterranean scrub in search of the rare birds who live around this protected part of the coastline.
For more seaside strolls, a jaunt to Giulianova harbour (five minutes’ drive) is worthwhile, especially combined with a stint at the Santuario della Madonna dello Splendore, a shrine next to a convent, museum and a spring water fountain said to be a source of miracles.
Towns to idle around inland include the hilltop Montepagano (just over 10 minutes) and the Civitella del Tronto (40 minutes) for the fantastic fortress folded into the Apennine foothills of the Gran Sasso massif.
While you’re in the Gran Sasso’s mountainous national park, make the most of the world-class hiking, mountain biking and horse riding, especially on the 50-kilometre track around the lush Lago di Campotosto lake.
