Check out those views of Lake Balaton – they’re enough to make you rip off all your clothes and leap into the clear waters. And indeed you can when staying at Balatontourist Camping Naturist Berény, right on the lakeshore in the village of Balatonberény. Fresh from your swim there’s no need to get togged up again, for this is Lake Balaton’s largest and longest-established naturist site – it’s been running since 1988 in a splendid spot looking out over the water of central Europe’s largest lake, with plenty of trees and reeds for shade and privacy. Leisurely times in and by the water are in plentiful supply here: there’s a lake beach area, a spacious sunbathing lawn and (a real fave, this one) a large round wooden pier jutting out into the lake for more all-over sunning yourself or taking the plunge. Massages are available for those who need a helping hand to wind down, and there’s food on hand at the traditional restaurant, the snack bar and the supermarket. Prefer a slightly livelier schedule? Aim for the site’s volleyball court, ping pong tables or games of pétanque and giant chess. Lakeside hiking trails are close by too, if you’d like to stretch your legs while taking in the views, and bikes can be hired on site if you’d rather pedal. If you’re planning trips further afield, this is a fine Somogy area spot to pick – you’ll easily be able to get out to take in some of the lake’s finest attractions, including watersports, vineyards, historic buildings, spa days and cute lakefront villages.

Liked: Schöne gepflegte Anlage, saubere Sanitäranlagen, die mehrmals am Tag gereinigt werden. Kleine, aber gute Gastronomie mit ausreichend langer Öffnungszeit, auch preislich völlig im Rahmen. Bademöglichkeit perfekt, auch für Kinder gut geeignet, da die Wassertiefe am Ufer bestenfalls knietief ist und man ein ganzes Stück in den See muss um in tieferes Wasser zu kommen. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten im Ort sind ausreichend.

Disliked: Kein Kiosk oder Einkaufsmöglichkeit am Platz. ( sollte laut Beschreibung da sein )

Liked: Sauber; angenehme Größe der Parzelle; Personal sehr freundlich; Mücken werden durch Sprühen mittels Flugzeug stark reduziert.

Disliked: Sanitäranlagen sind in die Jahre gekommen, aber sauber; Restaurant am Platz zu teuer und es schmeckt nicht besonders.

Local attractions

Do bring at least a small selection of clothing along for your trip here, for there are many fine things to explore in the local area. The big highlight nearby is the huge Festetics Palace (15 minutes’ drive), where the 101 rooms are furnished in original Baroque style and the gardens are filled with colourful flowers, fountains, statues and a model railway exhibit. For more historic wanders, aim for Szigliget Fortress (40 minutes) or take a trip to Tihany (an hour and a quarter), a medieval town with castle and Baroque abbey. Kids had enough of past times? Scoot them off to the zoo and adventure park at Zobor Kalandozoo (25 minutes) or check out the show caves at Tavasbarlang (45 minutes). If your hols are all about the chillout, seek out the thermal waters of Hévíz (20 minutes) or wander around the Badacsony wine-growing area (40 minutes) to select a bottle or few to accompany meals back on site.

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Changes to your holiday

Bookings cannot be amended within 30 day(s) of arrival.

Dogs

Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.

Extras
