Keen to cast off your clothes and go running into the sea? Well, that’s exactly what you’ll be able to do when you stay at Naturist Camping Ostsee, right by the Rosenfelder beach in Schleswig-Holstein.
If you like to experience the sun, sea and fresh air on the whole of your skin, you’ll be among like-minded folk at this friendly nudist site. It’s in a gorgeous location too, in a secluded and private spot within a nature reserve and with direct access to its own mile-long stretch of beach. And what a beach, too: it’s got soft sands, clear water and just a gentle slope to give it calm and shallow waters for easy swimming.
Sunbathing/swimming/playing at the beach are likely to be popular activities with guests of all ages, but they’re far from the only ways to fill your days. Everything here has been set up to provide days of entertainment without any need to leave the site if you don’t want to.
Sports facilities include a basketball court, football field, beach volleyball area, pétanque courts, ring tennis courts, ping pong tables and a fitness park, and there are chances to try out sailing or surfing. There are bikes for hire at reception too.
For the kids, there’s a nicely spacious and well-equipped playground and a large bouncy castle, and a water slide gets set up on warmer days. Meanwhile, adults can unwind in the sauna area, which has both indoor and outdoor relaxation areas for a proper chance to chill out.
Naturally, there’s food and drink on hand too, in the ‘Oase’ restaurant, which serves up a full menu plus a good range of hot and cold drinks (including draft beer).

Local attractions
With so much to do on site, you may find that you don’t have a lot of time to get out and about – but if you do decide to explore, there’s plenty of info and advice available at reception.
For a family day out, you might like to take the kids to meet the animals at Zoo Arche Noah (25 minutes’ drive) or to zoom down the waterslides at Badeparadies Weissenhäuser Strand (half an hour) – a handy spot for a rainy day. Hansa-Park (35 minutes) is another great day out, with lots of rides and attractions to try out.
To see one of the area’s big attractions, take a trip to Lübeck (an hour), a handsome city that was once capital of the Hanseatic League. Get a sense of the past with a walk through the Old Town, visit one of the biggest churches in the country (Marienkirche) and sample some of the marzipan the city is famed for.
