Picking your own size and shape pitch is just one of the perks of parking yourself at RCN Les Collines de Castellane on your next French vacances… There's a fab water complex and an adventure park with friendly guides too, heaps of sports facilities and pretty scenery to soak up, and loads more nearby too. Set on a sunny south-facing slope and well laid out across terraces, pitches (each with their own water and electricity supply) come in all sorts of styles… choose something roomier or cosier, in full sun or partially shaded and sheltered, handily close to amenities or a little further away for extra peace and quiet… plus some with wide-angle views of the surrounding (and highly spectacular) hills. When it comes to what’s around on site to get stuck into, the team at RCN Les Collines de Castellane can also guarantee guests won’t be bored: the pool complex has a waterfall to wade around under and a triple waterslide for small peeps to swoosh down. There's also a spacious playground with a little climbing wall for kids to clamber up and over, and an adventure and ziplining park, guided by a friendly Dutch-speaking recreation team during the summer months (fees apply – ask the friendly site team for availability during low and high seasons). Also on hand are facilities for football and ping pong, as well as tennis, basketball, volleyball and pétanque courts, plus an open-air fitness area for the conscientious vacationer. Other handy guest facilities include a well-stocked camping shop for all your last-minute bits and, to sort your daily meals, a snack bar and a pizza corner, as well as a restaurant with a huge terrace.

Liked: Ruime plek voor de tent en mooie rustige omgeving. Prima restaurant en goede WIFI.

Disliked: De steile helling naar de receptie/bar. Ligbedden bij het zwembad werden vaak bezet gehouden door ogenschijnlijk niet aanwezige mensen.

Liked: Haben die Anlage sehr spontan für den nächsten Tag gebucht, lief alles gut. Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt und die Pool Area lädt zum Entspannen ein :)
Wir waren zwar nur eine Nacht da, waren aber total überzeugt und würden nochmal hinfahren. Die Sanitäranlagen waren sehr sauber.

Liked: De heel ruime opzet biedt ruime plaatsen en veel privacy. Door de terrassen op een steile berg is er op veel plaatsen uitzicht op de bergen. Het sanitair en de overige voorzieningen zijn in orde. Er zijn meerdere sanitaire units, zodat de afstand er naartoe niet te groot wordt.

Disliked: Doordat de camping een flink stuk van een vrij steile heuvel inneemt, is de afstand tussen de onderste plaatsen en de receptie en een aantal centrale voorzieningen aan de bovenzijde nogal groot. Dat is voor sommigen campinggasten aanleiding om de auto te gebruiken, wat enige onrust veroorzaakt.
De camping ligt nogal eenzaam en Castellane is niet simpel te bereiken zonder auto.

RCN Les Collines de Castellane is in prime position for outdoorsy days – get stuck into stuff like rafting, bungee jumping and paragliding or, if you prefer to take it easier, lots of walking trails are around, plus golf and horse riding are nearby. Scenic settlements that come highly recommended for a trip to are Moustiers Sainte Marie, Colmars and Entrevaux, especially for their farmers’ markets. On a hot day, head to the ski resort of Allos in the higher Alps for an amble around Europe’s highest mountain lake, Lac d'Allos.

All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Dogs

A valid vaccination certificate must accompany your dog.
Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. XL Bully, Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro) and/or any of the following: Staffordshire bull terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, Rottweiler, any Mastiff or Tosa.
