Fond of flowers? You'll blooming well love this botanical gem in Provence. No need to be an expert gardener: you don’t even have to know your dahlias from your dandelions to appreciate a site so surrounded by lush vegetation. A lot of care goes into Camping Le Dattier’s gardens, to give a setting of plants and trees, shrubs and flowers reflecting the Mediterranean habitat, cooling and scenting the whole place. The care goes into all the other corners as well on this fine French site a 10-minute drive from Fréjus and its beach; it's equally proud of its pair of swimming pools (one more suited to smaller swimmers), along with a games room, table tennis and tennis courts. If you’re less of a smash-it-over-the net type, and more of a sit-and-sip, you’ll have ample opportunity at the on-site bar and restaurant whose terrace is bang in the middle of a grove of lemon trees (handy if you want an extra slice in your G&T…). Shops for stocking up and life’s essentials (sun cream, more sun cream) are a couple of minutes' walk away. For coastal capers, both Fréjus and Saint-Raphaël (15 minutes’ drive) are big on watersports, from sedate canoeing to paragliding and jetskiing.

Liked: The campsite was friendly, clean and very good facilities. The swimming pools were lovely and clean and perfect to cool down in after a day out visiting the area.
I would recommend the on site restaurant and takeaway. Very good food, large choices on the menu, cooked freshly for you.
I would definitely stay here again.

Liked: 2 Swimmingpools vorhanden.
Toiletten und Duschen sauber.

Disliked: Unser Platz war leider kleiner als in der Buchung vorgegeben, die Klimaanlage von unserem Nachbarmobilheim und der Stromverteiler von 6 Plätzen war keinen Meter von unserem Kopf entfernt. Diese Geräuschkulisse war nachts sehr unangenehm. Des Weiteren wurde keine Nachtruhe eingehalten. Bis tief in die Morgenstunden wurde auf dem Platz gefeiert. Schlafen war kaum möglich, so dass wir einen Tag vorher freiwillig abgereist sind.
Woher die 4 Sterne kommen, weiß ich nicht!
Die Duschen und Toiletten waren sauber, aber sehr alt.
Diesen Platz würde ich nie wieder buchen und auch niemals weiterempfehlen.

Liked: Le point positif est qu’on peut rentrer quand on veut dans le camping grâce à un code. Camping très bien localisé. Le camping possède 2 grandes piscines avec un endroit plus profond.

Disliked: Malheureusement beaucoup de points négatifs sur le camping. Dans un premier temps niveau hygiène ce n’est vraiment pas le top (pas de brosse de toilette, ni de poubelle). Les douches sont insalubres tâches de sang, de calcaire, des déchets dans les douches… de même pour les toilettes. De plus nous n’avons pas eu beaucoup d’explication pour l’arrivée, ni pour les animations. Enfin, pour les emplacements de toiles de tentes beaucoup de vis à vis, nous sommes parqué entre des mobilehomes, parfois sans un coin d’ombre. Le camping ne prends pas la carte. Pour finir le camping n’est pas adapté pour les enfants les piscines se trouve tout en haut du camping il faut monter une énorme pente. Pas d’animations, ni de jeu…

Local attractions

Diehard beach bunnies could spend their whole holiday hopping round the coast and sampling the sands at Cannes (40 minutes’ drive), Antibes (45 minutes) and Nice (50 minutes). If you’re into a quieter and wilder kind of seaside experience, head to Bouloris (25 minutes) to clamber the red rocks and find hidden coves. Walkers are well sorted here too, with the nature-filled Esterel massif to explore half an hour away. Heading further and deeper into Provence, the ancient perched villages of Fayence and Callas are 45 minutes away, as is Grasse, home to lavender meadows, perfume and a museum of perfume too. Markets in Fréjus, Saint-Raphaël and Saint Aygulf (15 minutes) are supremely handy for local produce, picking up presents for Gran and the simple pleasure of strolling about and stopping for a coffee when it suits. Not everyone takes it so slow of course… if even the Mediterranean fails to excite then Aqualand waterpark (10 minutes) has Europe’s biggest wave machine, and a similar distance away there are thrill rides and larks aplenty at Lunapark. To sit still and be thrilled meanwhile, the cast of sharks and dolphins, penguins and seals puts on a show at Marineland near Antibes (45 minutes).

Booking terms and conditions

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.
At least one of the party members must be aged 18 or over.
Unsupervised minors must have a letter of authorisation from their parents or legal guardian.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Dogs

A valid vaccination certificate must accompany your dog.
Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.

In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.

Quiet (afternoon) hours must be respected between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m..
Quiet hours must be respected between 12 a.m. and 7 a.m..
Radio, music and TV players must be kept at a low volume. Car doors and boots must be closed quietly.
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.
The site is not liable for any refund in the event of force majeure.

Hired accommodation

Hired accommodation: €350.00 (£293.13) damage/cleanliness/bracelet deposit is required on arrival and will be refunded on departure after inspection of your unit should no damage/losses be found.
Your unit must be left clean and tidy; a fine of €100.00 (£83.75) will be charged for unclean units upon departure.

Pool

Only park guests are authorised to use the pool.
Swimsuits are obligatory and swimming shorts or Bermuda shorts are not permitted.
The outdoor swimming pool is open between 05/04 and 27/09 (subject to weather conditions).

Reception

Reception is open from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. between 05/04 and 30/06.
Reception is open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. between 01/07 and 30/09.

Safety

Firearms are not permitted.
No charcoal barbecues allowed.
Open fires are prohibited.
Please do not touch or feed the animals.

Vehicles

Commercial vehicles (vehicles used for work-related purposes, carrying goods or fare-paying passengers) and sign-written vehicles are not permitted on site.
Only one car is to be parked by the pitch. Extra vehicles must be parked in the designated area.
The car is only included in the rate if you are travelling with a touring caravan or a tent. If you wish to bring a car along with your motorhome/campervan please select the extra.
The charging of electric vehicles is not permitted on site.
Twin axle vehicles are not permitted on site.

Visitors must leave the premises by 8 p.m..
Visitors must register at reception and pay their fee.
