Bag yourself some time out in shady, waterside surroundings at Camping Les Petites Minaudières, set in a 50-acre wooded park between Châtellerault and La Roche-Posay (both about 15 minutes’ drive) in the Vienne. If you’re a keen angler, there are fishing lakes on site, and if you’re holidaying with the kids, well… they’ll be jolly pleased to hear that Futuroscope theme park is only half an hour away by car. However, there’s no real reason to stray away from the site, as you’ve got pretty much everything you need there: those three fishing lakes for starters, on which you can also take canoes and pedal boats (free of charge for campsite guests). And of course, there’s the swimming pool and facilities for tennis, ping-pong, pétanque, basketball, volleyball, badminton and mini-golf – not forgetting table football, a chess board and giant draughts game. Add to that mix a peaceful forest for family rambles (any dogs are welcome to join you, by the way) and a games area dedicated to toddlers, and you’re all set to be happily occupied for quite some time. Got catering concerns? Relax, for the snack bar takes care of everything from drinks and ice creams to more substantial fare like pancakes, waffles, pizzas, burgers and fries. A drop-off service for bread, baguettes and pastries is also available every morning except Monday.

Liked: Heel erg gastvrij, gemoedelijke sfeer. Erg gastvrij welkom en verder verblijf super. Veel leuke dingen voor de kinderen: midgetgolf, kano, waterfietsen, trampolines, zwembad. Ze hebben zich super vermaakt en de hond kon in het riviertje even afkoelen. Lekkere pizza gegeten kortom een heerlijk verblijf langer dat we niet langer konden blijven want we waren op doorreis

Liked: Beautiful place, children loved it. Nice swimming pool with cafe. Pitch was levelled and surrounded by trees. Clean toilets. Nice and clean showers. We also used the washing machine for €6.

Great if you like fishing
Kids play areas trampolines mini golf, table tennis good if you want to use it.

Disliked: Old and worn washing facilities one partly closed off
Lack of clearly marked pitches bit free for all.
Mainly for hire of cabins of which there are lots.

Concernant les douches, je ne comprends pas trop votre retour. Le bâtiment est pourtant récent (10ans) et propre.
Peut-être y a t-il eu un malentendu quant aux sanitaires à utiliser.

Je suis désolée que votre séjour ne vous aie pas donné entière satisfaction.
Concernant les toilettes, effectivement nous n'avons pas la possibilité de séparé les femmes des hommes mais nous prenons en compte votre remarque pour nos futurs travaux.
Concernant le personnel je ne comprend pas trop ce qui a pu ce passé. Notre personnel est pourtant très professionnel et les retours sont pour la plupart très bon. Cependant je m'excuse pour ce désagrément

Local attractions

If the kids have anything to do with your itinerary, it may well go like this: Futuroscope (half an hour’s drive) for 4D simulator rides, thrills on ‘Destination Mars’ rollercoaster and musical extravaganzas. Next up could be ZooParc de Beauval (about an hour) to see endangered tigers and honey bears from the cable-car ride above their enclosures. Continuing the wildlife theme, at La Vallée des Singes (also around an hour) you can spot monkeys and gorillas wandering their terrain freely – or how about watching keepers feed reptiles at La Planète des Crocodiles (50 minutes)? There are engaging treasure trails for the whole family at Château de Monthoiron (15 minutes), and if you’ve got the time (and any energy) left, then the spectacular pageants with casts of thousands at Puy du Fou (two hours) will also be quite high on the bucket list. After all that, you deserve your choice of day out too. Have a meander around the medieval walls of historic Chauvigny (35 minutes), and explore the photogenic ruins of the Château des Evêques. If you feel like an indulgent adults-only escape, book a spa treatment at the thermal resort in La Roche-Posay (15 minutes).
