Why choose between town and country? Camping Le Parc occupies a sweet spot between the beaches of the Mediterranean and the medieval streets and sand-coloured buildings of Montpellier, making it a splendid setting for a family-friendly break that mashes up city wanders and splash time. The on-site outdoor pool is a top spot when the weather is fine – and, as the water's heated, when the weather's not so fine… Other sporting highlights include ping pong and table football, while bi-weekly pétanque tournaments should get competitive juices flowing in the high season. In summer, when the kids' club is in session, parents looking for a morning to themselves may well find that their wish comes true. Fitness fans will no doubt want to work up a sweat at the on-site gym, but there are outdoor alternatives too: a fine idea is to rent a bike to explore the nearby seaside towns of Palavas-les-Flots and Carnon-Plage, where there's plenty of fresh seafood to be sampled. Eats are sorted during high season at the snack bar and takeaway, which plays host to regular themed evenings. From May to September, fresh bread and pastries can be delivered daily, while a small shop is open year-round for essentials (including local plonk and fine regional wines). Major supermarkets are within an easy walk (20 minutes), and electric barbecues are available to rent should open-air eats take your fancy.

Liked: Proximity to Montpellier. Friendly staff. Clean facilities.

Disliked: Mosquitoes!! Facilities include restaurant and pool not open. Partial opening of showers. Not enough showers really.

From the manager: Il est très rare que nos clients reprochent au camping d'avoir trop d'arbres , et trop d'oiseaux ... Si vous n'aimez pas la nature et les oiseaux , peut être serait il plus judicieux de stationner votre camping car en ville , sur un parking sans arbre et sans faune , au milieu des voitures ; ainsi aucune brindille ne viendrait se poser sur le toit de votre véhicule.
Pour ce qui concerne le bruit des bateaux, je ne comprends pas .Etant situé à 6 km de la mer , je suis admiratif de voir combien vous avez l'ouie fine. ! C'est la première fois qu'un client se plaint du bruit des bateaux , il faut un début à tout.
Il devient de plus en plus difficile de comprendre les attentes des gens, et de les satisfaire .
En résumé, trop d'arbres qui laissent tomber des brindilles sur les véhicules, trop d'oiseaux mal élevés dans les arbres et des sirènes de bateaux imaginaires , ne serait ce pas là la description d'un camping arboré , soucieux de la faune et de la flore et qui cerise sur le gateau est situé à proximité des plages de la méditerranée ?

PS: Vous avez oubliè de signaler les écureuils qui sautent d'arbres en arbres. Peut être ne les avez vous pas remarqué ou alors ils se sont cachés en vous voyant pour ne pas vous déranger , monsieur l'ANONYME !

Liked: Es war ein sehr schöner, etwas ausserhalb gelegener Camping. Die Duschen sowie die Toiletten waren sehr sauber. Grosser ebener Stellplatz für unser Wohnmobil.

Disliked: Etwas teuer.

Disliked: Het personeel was vriendelijk.
Maar……ik had de camping een e-mail gestuurd met onze gegevens waaronder 2 kleine honden. Kreeg een link teruggestuurd met een nota. Volledig voldaan. Nadat ik caravan geplaatst had kwam receptioniste. Moest nog €5 per hond betalen !!!
Vervolgens bij het inchecken gevraagd naar 2 een keuze uit 2 plekken. Wij waren eerder in de middag maar receptie gesloten. Onmogelijk plekken waren al bezet. Niet dus ,deze beide plekken bleven onbezet.
Vervolgens vroeg een Italiaanse mevrouw mij te vragen of er nog EEN plekje voor hun vrij was. Nee , camping vol geboekt. Echter klopt niet. Meerdere vrije plekken. ????
Ook waren er slechts 4 douches open voor een camping welke VOL zou zijn. Echt niet correct.

From the manager: Il aurait été préferable de vous renseigner avant d'affirmer des choses inexactes; Si nous affichons complet alors que tous les emplacements ne sont pas occupés c'est pour éviter des coupures d'électricté et assurer un service de qualité à notre clientèle. L'hiver , la moitié de nos emplacements sont fermés, la puissance de notre compteur électrique étant insuffisante audelà. C'est pour cette raison que nous indiquons complet et refusons des clients alors même que tous les emplacements ne sont pas louès. Que n'auriez vous pas écrit si vous aviez subi des coupure d'électricité ? Il ne faut pas être très intelligent pour comprendre que nous ne refusons ps les clients par plisir.
Pour ce qui concerne vos deux chiens, il y a un supplement pour les chiens, vous ne les avez pas déclarés lorsque vous avez effectué votre réservation , donc le supplement n'étant pas payé, la receptionniste est venue logiquement vous demander de le payer lorsqu'elle a vu vos deux chiens sur l'emplacement. Rien que de tres normal.
La moitié de nos emplacements étant ouverts , la moitié de nos douches étaient ouvertes , je ne pense pas que vous ayez attendu pour faire votre toilette !
Qu'avez vous pensé de la propreté et du confort de nos sanitaires chauffés , de nos wc et de l'entretien en général du camping ? Votre emplacement était il suffisamment grand (98 m²) ? Ne pensez vous pas qu'il est plutôt pratique de trouver un camping ouvert pendant les fêtes de Noêl et même le jour de l'an ?
Peut être est ce parce que vous n'avez séjourné qu'une nuit dans le camping que vous n'avez pas eu le temps d'en apprécier les points positifs ? Après reflexion , je pense que l'incident des 2 petits chiens vous a mis dans une mauvaise disposition envers le camping , dommage.

Disliked: Had to pay for extra for Wifi.
No supermarket.
Make sure you check condition of water key when given out at reception. They charged €20 for a key which was given to us broken.

From the manager: Le wifi est payant , participation de 2€ pour 24 heures en illimité sur tout le camping .
Il n'y a effectivement pas de supermarché dans le camping, le supermarché le plus proche étant situé à 1200 m du camping. Rare sont les campings qui ont un supermarché ouvert dans leur enceinte au mois de novembre !
Pour le reste, je préfère ne pas vous répondre sur le probléme de la clé ne souhaitant pas être désagréable en cette période de voeux.

Liked: Toilets and showers lovely and clean and facilities for washing clothes a lovely extra. Location is great only 10 minute drive to Montpellier town center. Stayed out of season so pool and other facilities like ping pong table out of service but looked nice. Will stay again!

Local attractions

If eyes begin to wander away from on-site activities, there’s no need for them to wander far… A five-minute drive will land guests at Parcenthèse leisure park, where the whole family can play a round of miniature golf or outdoor laser tag. Prefer taking to the waves? The beaches of Carnon-Plage (10 minutes) and Palavas-les-Flots (15 minutes) are within easy reach, with the latter being a must for watersports fans. It’s roughly 20 minutes to La Grande Motte, where guests can try their luck at the casino, and a similar journey to Montpellier city centre. Make tracks for the city by car or by tram (a 15-minute journey from the closest stop) to visit the aquarium (home to friendly penguins) or zoo (free of charge). In the historic centre, stroll about the botanical garden and orangery, call at museums and the cathedral, or pass a few hours browsing some of the town's many independent shops. Medieval mavens should head to Aigues-Mortes (20 minutes) for its old-world architecture and traditional salt plains. You might also wish to travel the 30 minutes to Sète (‘the Venice of Languedoc’), or make the pilgrimage to Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert (45 minutes) and its UNESCO-listed abbey.

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Dogs

A valid vaccination certificate must accompany your dog.
Dogs are prohibited from main facilities and amenities.
Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
Guide dogs are allowed on site free of charge.
