To Toussaint, and the family-friendly Camping Les Falaises de Toussaint, for peaceful Upper Normandy stays and plenty of options for countryside and coast activities. This chilled-out spot 10 minutes' walk from the village centre backs on to woodland for folk who fancy a forest foray, and it's within a couple of kilometres of horse riding, tennis courts and a boating lake. Cycling types can pedal for three kilometres to pick up the coastal bike path that runs all the way from Dieppe to Étretat, while those seeking something a little less energy-sapping can bask at Fécamp’s beach after a 10-minute drive. Lazing about is a fine option on site too, and your hosts here have provided a collection of books and board games to encourage such periods of idleness. (If you simply must have a bit of gentle activity, the three-hectare site is also home to a playground and pétanque court, and there's also a small, local sports pitch within walking distance of the site.) During the high season, there is a snack-bar on site. A small shop sells local produce and has a bread-ordering service for your morning meals; other supplies can be acquired at the supermarket five minutes' drive away and then stashed in the freezer back at base. Folk planning ferry travels to/from British shores may well find this a handy place for a first or final night, as the port of Le Havre is around a 45-minute drive away.

Liked: Very friendly welcome from the couple running the site. Good sized pitch, all very well kept. Sanitaries very clean if a little dated. Bread and pastries delivered to the pitch from 8a.m. which was most helpful (order previous evening) . Easy to find on road out of Fecamp towards Rouen.

Disliked: Slightly disconcerting to go into unisex sanitaire right past the urinals (only slightly!)

Disliked: Het lange wachten bij de receptie. Die zou om 14:00 uur open zijn. Echter om 14:15 uur nog steeds gesloten. Stond ik in de stromende regen naar een telefoon nummer te zoeken!

Geluidsoverlast door Franse gezinnen. Zelfs na 00:00 uur bleven zij hard praten en lachen. Om 01:30 uur was het eindelijk stil.

Toiletten waren oud, dat was niet het ergste, maar dat je met een toiletrol over de camping mort omdat er geen toiletpapier in het toilet aanwezig is.
En dat voor het bedrag wat we moesten betalen! Staat niet in verhouding met wat aangeboden wordt.

From the manager: Nous ne comprenons pas votre commentaire, l'accueil est ouvert en saison de 9h à 20h sans interruption. Si celui-ci était fermé c'est que nous étions partis placer des clients sur le camping.. Vous avez un abris devant l'accueil en cas de pluie. Le numéro de téléphone est noté en gros sur la porte de l'accueil, vous n'avez pas du beaucoup chercher. Concernant les nuisances sonores des familles FRANCAISE, vous devez vous tromper d'établissement car autour de vous il n'y avait que des clients Anglais et Néerlandais. Si nuisance il y avait eu. Vous auriez pu nous en parler dès le lendemain matin lors de la livraison du pain et des viennoiseries sur votre emplacement. Concernant les sanitaires les sanitaires sont anciens mais très propre et fonctionnels. Comme la plus part des campings le papier toilette n'est pas fourni. Ceci afin d'éviter les abus et que chacun soit éco-responsable. Nous aurions aimé échanger avec vous sur les points négatifs du commentaire, nous nous sommes croisés plusieurs fois, mais à aucun moment vous êtes venus nous voir.
Ce commentaire est infondé et non constructif. Le tarif est de 26€ en plein mois d'août pour 2 personnes et 2 chiens (douches chaudes à volonté, électricité, vidange et remplissage de votre camping-car inclus). Difficile d'être plus compétitif.

From the manager: Je pense que c'est votre commentaire qui est inutile. A aucun moment nous laissons nos clients dehors sous la pluie. On demande à notre clientèle de se garer sur le parking et de venir à l'accueil pour le règlement et récupérer le code d'entrée. Oui je m'occupais d'un client ce qui est tout à fait normal d'avoir du monde sur le mois d'août. Vous êtes arrivées en dehors des horaires d'ouverture et nous vous avons quand même accueilli. Concernant les sanitaires nous avons 2 blocs sanitaires ce qui suffit largement, à aucun moment il y a la queue devant les toilettes. Peut-être souhaitiez vous avoir un toilette pour vous tout seul ?
Vous mettez une note de 1 pour la wifi que vous n'avez pas pris.
Peut-être qu'un service d'hôtellerie 5 étoiles vous conviendrais mieux. Attention le tarif et la convivialité du camping ne sera pas la même.

Local attractions

Once you've wandered around the woods by the site, saddle up to see some of the scenery from horseback from the riding centre five minutes' drive away or clamber up into the canopy to trot along the treetop trails at Etretat Aventure adventure park (20 minutes’ drive). Feet firmly back on the ground, there are all sorts of activities at Woody Park amusement park (five minutes), including laser games, bouncy castles and virtual reality games. Beach days and boat trips are 10 minutes' drive away in Fécamp, where there's also a fishing museum and stunning Benedictine Palace to wander around. A little further along the coast is Honfleur (50 minutes), a pretty fishing town with a harbour so handsome it inspired several Impressionists to get their paint palettes out. More arty sights lurk along the paths at Les Jardins D’Etretat (half an hour), a spectacular clifftop garden that combines colourful plants and pieces of modern sculpture. A sweet way to finish the day would be a stop at Chocolats Hautot (five minutes) to mosey around the museum and sample tasty treats.

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Dogs

A valid vaccination certificate must accompany your dog.
Dogs are not allowed if you are staying in the accommodation units.
Dogs are prohibited from main facilities and amenities.
Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
Guide dogs are allowed on site free of charge.
