Electric optional grass and gravel pitch

Liked: reichlich Platz, der Inhaber investiert regelmäßig in weitere Freizeitmöglichkeiten (aktuell in neue Fitness-Trainingsgeräte), sehr freundliche Leute, direkter Anschluss an den Seine-Radweg, alles super. Grandiose Gegend.

Disliked: nichts

Electric optional grass and gravel pitch

Liked: Very warm welcome, great pitches, water and electricity easily accessible , outside terrace at the chateau, cold beer and excellent pizzas what’s not to like. Always our ‘go to ‘ place on our way to or from the south west.

Disliked: Nothing

Electric optional grass and gravel pitch

Liked: Only stayed one evening after travelling up from the Dordogne and had to leave early the next day so didn’t get much chance to look around or use the facilities.
The owners are very nice and friendly as is their lovely Czechoslovakian Vlcak dog, Dao.
We sampled the homemade pizzas and local beer and cidre which were all delicious.
The toilets and showers are spotlessly clean and well kept. Our pitch was large and level with electricity and water provided.
Hopefully next time we can stay longer.

Disliked: It was a long walk from our pitch to the toilets and showers. A closer pitch or alternative nearby facilities would be better.

Electric optional grass and gravel pitch

Liked: Beautiful site. Extremely large and private pitches. River Seine at end of site. Lovely seated area adjacent to the Chateau. Good and clean facilities. Very helpful staff.

Disliked: Lights on movement sensors, which go out in showers after 12 seconds and in toilets after 5 seconds, you have to move considerably to reactivate them. Light sensors did not work in toilets at night.

Electric optional grass and gravel pitch

Liked: Very quiet place, was easy to relax. Staff were very friendly, beautiful location and a short drive to a main line station for access to Paris in 60 mins or Rouen in 40 mins. Toilets and showers where clean and well kept.

Disliked: You will need some form of transport to get to a cafe, restaurant or bar. Evenings are secluded. €15 taxi into the nearest town isn’t too much. Not a dislike, but be aware, the vast majority of pitches are long term residential, this means tourers are dotted about the site.

From the manager: merci pour vos commentaires , il est vrai que nous sommes au calme de la campagne et des bords de seine . il y a cependant un bar a l' accueil ouvert selon la saison jusqu' a 20 h ou 22 h . au plaisir de vous revoir

Local attractions

Get set for a bit of a climb and a lot of picture-snapping at Château Gaillard (15 minutes’ drive): the grand hilltop castle, the old stomping ground of Richard the Lionheart, has mind-boggling views over the River Seine. Évreux Cathedral (30 minutes) is another site of fancy – its sheer size enough to make your head spin. For a test of strength and bravery, battle the high ropes at Acroforest (40 minutes). Alternatively, head to Golf de Gaillon (15 minutes) for a gentler piece of the action. You’ll feel like you’ve stepped right into one of Monet’s paintings at his preserved home and gardens in Giverny (25 minutes). Once you’ve had your fill of fancy plants, make room for the other face of nature and greet the animals at Biotropica Zoo (35 minutes). If city living is more down your avenue, Rouen (40 minutes) and Paris (an hour and 15) aren’t out of reach. For families with kids, you can admire all the best French cities in miniature form at France Miniature (an hour), a good pick for little feet not fit to take on the real-life cities on foot.
