How does this sound for your next family break? Setting up base a kilometre from Lake Amance, which has a reputation for gorgeous beaches and water activities such as jet skiing? Roaming the Orient Forest Regional Natural Park at your leisure, before returning to the calm family atmosphere at Camping Le Garillon in Radonvilliers? If all of that tickles your fancy, you should like this peaceful green site staffed by friendly folk and set between the forest and lake. Upon waking, head straight to the outdoor swimming pool, then follow up your dip with something tasty from the snack bar. If you’re still raring to go, spend some time at the site's playground or pétanque court. Bring along your loyal canine companion too, as dogs are welcome as long as they are kept on a lead. If you prefer to head straight out (and straight into adventures), walk to Dienville Plage on Lake Amance within 40 minutes to get stuck into watersports like jet skiing and boating. Alternatively, drive 15 minutes to Lac d'Orient, which has three sandy beaches and activity options such as fishing, sailing, rowing, windsurfing and swimming. Pick up a day’s worth of snacks or food for dinner from the shops in Brienne-le-Château, 10 minutes’ drive away from the site. If you’d rather eat out, the town also has plenty of places where you can dabble in local dishes. Wineries crafting delicious Champagnes are also a short drive away.

Liked: Decent size pitch, host and as friendly and helpful. The food and drinks was reasonable. The facility’s for the kids was also good.

Disliked: The toilet and washrooms were not nice at all. There was no toilet seats and the showers was very basic.

Wifi is very basic and you only get 10 minutes for free

Liked: Location - beautiful peaceful area with some great stuff like sports and beach nearby. Supermarket 10 min drive away and a picturesque village Dienville 5 mins away.

Disliked: Facilities were tired and in need of some TLC.

Local attractions

You should have plenty of hiking, cycling and birdwatching opportunities in the Orient Forest Regional Natural Park, but if you’re looking for a thrill that’s manmade instead, try the rollercoasters and drop tower at Nigloland (20 minutes) – if you’re brave enough, that is. Brienne-le-Château (10 minutes) has a history museum all about the famed figure Napoléon if you're looking for something history-themed to fill a gap in your itinerary. For a whole day looking at historic things, make your way over to Troyes (40 minutes). Its medieval old town has cobbled alleys that are just irresistible, lined with pastel-coloured half-timbered houses from the 16th century, and there are also a few Gothic churches to explore. Seeking wildlife instead? Space Wildlife Orient Forest (20 minutes) is an excellent spot. Freely roaming the forest are splendid animals such as deer, wild boar, bison and goats. Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
At least one of the party members must be aged 18 or over.

Arrivals and departures

No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Dogs

Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
Guide dogs are allowed on site free of charge.
The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. XL Bully, Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro) and/or any of the following: Staffordshire bull terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, Rottweiler, any Mastiff or Tosa.

Bookings are nominative and non-transferable.
Discount cards and gift vouchers cannot be applied to bookings made via Pitchup.com.
In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.
Refunds within the indicated cancellation period are only possible if the site is able to relet your unit/pitch.
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.

Pool

Only park guests are authorised to use the pool.
Please note there is no lifeguard on duty.
Swimsuits are obligatory and swimming shorts or Bermuda shorts are not permitted.

Reception

Reception is open from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. between 04/04 and 26/10.

Vehicles

No vehicle movement between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m..
Only one car is to be parked by the pitch. Extra vehicles must be parked in the designated area.
The car is only included in the rate if you are travelling with a touring caravan or a tent. If you wish to bring a car along with your motorhome/campervan please select the extra.
