What customers say

This is a small, peaceful campsite set in a scenic vineyard location, offering a back-to-nature feel. Guests frequently highlight the complimentary champagne tasting with the passionate owner and the clean facilities. Some reviewers found the site a little remote with limited nearby amenities. A few noted issues with finding the check-in location or with certain aspects of the facilities needing updating. Overall, it's considered a good stopover, particularly for its unique champagne experience.

Electric grass tent pitch

Liked The campsite is peaceful, with only a few pitches. You can go for a walk up a path to the side of the site through the vineyard to watch the sunset from the top of the hill.

Warm showers. Small playground for kids.

There’s a bakery about 15 mins drive away in Bar-Sur-Aube.

Location: Not much to do locally, but a bit further out -

Lac d’Orient is lovely for a day out, with water sports, a beach, restaurants etc

Château de Vaux has a great clue based game you can do, ending with you decoding a bomb to save the castle. The clues are in French but we just used Google translate.

Disliked There’s not a lot to do in the local villages/towns.

Whilst it is in an area of vineyards you can’t see them from the pitches.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked This was a beautiful small site for five camper vans and also had two little wood chalets, there were two showers and two toilets which were very clean. We did the champagne tasting with Gabriel and that was very interesting and we learnt a lot.

Disliked We did not have clear instructions about going into the village to get the key.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked Nothing

Disliked The site is away from the village behind a gated entrance - security is a bit over the top. No view of the champagne vines with a road very close.
We were the only ones on the site - expected it to me a lot more special for the price - the dearest and worst campsite we stayed on for the whole of our 3 week stay in France - we left a day early.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked Lovely little quiet campsite. Was next to the road but wasn’t that busy and didn’t bother us. Not dangerous as there was a row of bushes in between the site and road but didn’t cut out the sound. Facilities ok but basic. Didn’t realise we had to go to the town centre to check in and get the key. But was only a few minutes drive away. The main attraction is the beautiful vineyard scenery and the talk from the owner about the family champagne business back in the village centre and the tasting was lovely. There was a little play area here too for the kids whilst we sampled the champagne.

Disliked Our pitch wasn’t very flat. But I think someone else had parked in our spot so this may have not been a problem if we were in the right spot.

Elsewhere nearby, you can make trips to the Maison Renoir in Essoyes (25 minutes), the Cistercian Abbey of Clairvaux (20 minutes), the Crystal Museum in Bayel (20 minutes) or the family-friendly Nigloland theme park (10 minutes), for a day of rides and shows.
