  • Peaceful Brittany campsite in a lakeside Morbihan location
  • Within an hour's drive of the coast at Lorient or Saint-Brieuc
  • Accessible amenities and bar on site; dogs welcome
Located in a quiet part of rural Morbihan in the scenic French region of Brittany, Lakeside Langoëlan Lodges is a peaceful campsite on the edge of a traditional village. As its name suggests, this well-serviced little spot is right on the edge of Lac Dordu, where there are lots of lovely waterside walks and plenty of chances to spot some of the local wildlife if you're quiet enough. The on-site facilities here include a bar with a spacious outdoor seating area, plus a large toilet and shower block with separate disabled amenities. Dogs are welcome, barbecues are allowed, and it's only a short walk into the village, where there's an award-winning restaurant, a bar and a garage. Once a month, there's also an antiques sale in Langoëlan, with lots of campsite guests enjoying the chance to browse and grab a bargain. Lakeside Langoëlan Lodges is located deep in Brittany's hinterland, surrounded by green countryside and attractive small towns. As well as being easily accessible from Brittany’s major ferry ports, the site is also within reach of the coast for day trips: head north for an hour by car and you'll reach Saint-Brieuc, or go south to visit the historic port of Lorient (50 minutes) and popular resorts like Carnac (an hour and 10 minutes).

Local attractions

This campsite is very well located for relaxing breaks in Brittany. Ten minutes' drive away you have the small town of Guémené-sur-Scorff and its weekly Thursday market (there are several independent shops and cafés to explore if you’re here on other days of the week). Slightly further afield, the historic centre of Pontivy (half an hour's drive) and its castle are well worth visiting – don't miss its massive weekly market on Mondays. Families visiting with kids are well served too, as there are fun days out to be had at spots like Karaez Adrénaline, an open-air amusement park 40 minutes away (don't miss its massive zipwire). You could also take yourselves off for a spin at Port Arthur's Kart Center (half an hour), or for a more leisurely afternoon out at the swimming pools in Pontivy or Loudeac (both within 35 minutes). How about some time at the coast? Perhaps you'd like to visit Lorient's pleasure port (50 minutes), take boat rides over to the spectacular island of Groix (drive to Lorient then take the ferry for 50 minutes) or take in the half-timbered houses and peaceful beaches around Saint-Brieuc (an hour).

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked: Nada

Non-electric grass tent pitch
