- Family-friendly site on Brittany's Pink Granite Coast
- With its own long stretch of beach
- Heated pool, paddling pool, fishing, playground and restaurant
A Brittany base close to the Pink Granite Coast is bonzer enough… but when it has its own beach? Sorted for smashing hols.
Set on a small green peninsula jutting out into the Atlantic, Camping Port l'Epine is a family-friendly park at the seaside town of Trélévern, in a handy base for getting around its Côtes d'Armor department, the north of Brittany, Finistère, Morbihan and popular Breton towns like Dinan and Saint-Malo. It's a few kilometres from the Côte de Granit-Rose, to the west of the Cote d'Emeraude: all is rather colourful around these parts…
There's plenty to do on site alongside the beach, including a heated pool and a heated paddling pool, a play area with trampoline, fishing, giant chess, table tennis, table football and regular events and activities in high season from the English-speaking entertainment team. Organised walking tours around the region are held in early and late season.
Port l'Epine also has a restaurant with a terrace and snack takeaway, and a fresh bread service with rolls and baked goods delivered every day (please note you might have to order what you want outside of high season).
The site has a wifi hotspot: just ask at reception for an access card.

Local attractions
Port l’Epine's coastal setting of Côtes d'Armor has old and trad culture, modern family attractions, watersports, nature, forests, seaside resorts and shoreline hikes all easily doable within walking or day trip distance.
Windsurfing, boating and sailing are available nearby, along with sea fishing and trout stream fishing at local town Trélévern. For hiking and biking, follow the GR 34, the Brittany Coastal Path running along the route used by seventeenth- and eighteenth-century coastguards.
The Pink Granite Coast from Perros Guirec to Trégastel is probably one of Brittany's best-known scenic spots for hiking along with a camera. At its centre, the swish seaside resort of Perros-Guirec is another popular Breton coastal place, with a lively beach and plenty of cafés and shops.
From Perros Guirec's Trestraou beach, hike along the coast to the fishing village at Ploumanac'h and then on to Pointe de Squewel, via more pink rock of startling formations.
Inland, see the historic town of Lannion a few kilometres south of Perros-Guirec, for a wander around its centre full of medieval and fifteenth- and sixteenth-century buildings.
