A countryside location is a wonderful thing for a family holiday… but then it’s handy to be near a town so you won't have to travel miles to find shops and places to eat. So it’s a good thing indeed when you can find a location that combines both – and that’s the case with Camping Municipal Les Feuilles. This friendly Burgundy site is in the midst of a 2.5-hectare arboretum on the edge of Chauffailles, meaning that your surroundings are most conducive to relaxation but it’s only a 10-minute walk to get to the restaurants and shops in the town centre. Keeping the family entertained should be easy here, as there’s a playground in the site and the town’s main recreation area is just next to the site – there’s a heated outdoor pool there (with free access for campsite guests), plus a skate park, tennis courts, basketball and football pitches and a fishing lake. For days out, your options include visits to pretty little villages, vineyard tours, swims in Europe’s largest eco pool and wanders around the lovely city of Lyon (which is best reached on the train from Chauffailles). Back at base there are several facilities provided for those days when you can’t quite face the walk into town – these include a bar, a launderette and a food shop.

Disliked: Trees at each bay need cut back.
No hot water at dish clean area.

Liked: Camping 3 étoiles accueillants les emplacements pour camping-car sont assez larges et la hauteur de la haie qui sépare les emplacements est parfaite borne électrique pour brancher pas trop éloigné et branchement d’eau aussi. Très propre au niveau des sanitaires et très propres au niveau de la pelouse pas un papier 📄 qui traîne bravo 👏 à la dame de l’entretien le campings est très bien situé pas loin des commerces, notamment la piscine municipale, il y a aussi dans le campings,c'est un très beau site le seul bémol c'est au niveau de la réception l’accueil est fermé à partir de 12 heures et n’ouvre qu ’à 15 heures donc se qui veut dire si vous arrivez avant 15 heures vous êtes obliger d’attendre il faudrait une permanence une dame qui gère le matin et une qui gère l’après midi ,sinon dans l’ensemble s'est très bien je recommande le campings la réceptionniste est aimable

Liked: We were due to arrive way after the office had closed. They were so helpful by email and made sure we had a key when we arrived.
Town is quick walk away and amazingly beautiful to visit.

Disliked: Extremely noisy campsite but that isn't the owners fault.

Votre séjour chez nous ayant duré une seule nuit, nous sommes désolés que celle-ci ait coïncidé avec le repas de début de stage d'un groupe sportif que nous accueillons chaque année. Ceux-ci étant contents de se retrouver, ils ont en effet fait un peu de bruit jusqu'à 23h30 semble-t-il.
Ce cas de figure est plutôt isolé, car notre camping est habituellement réputé pour son calme, propice au repos.
Nous espérons cependant que vous conserverez un souvenir agréable de notre beau Pays Brionnais, qui mérite un séjour de découverte plus long.
Nous aurons grand plaisir à vous accueillir à nouveau à Chauffailles

Erable 1 bedroom lodge

Liked: Le calme du lieu ainsi que le bungalow bien installé mais bien sûr l'accueil et la disponibilité de Claire-Anne qui est toujours à l'écoute. De même l’hygiène irréprochable des sanitaires.De plus le rapport qualité/prix est excellent.
Je conseillerai ce camping sans problème.

Local attractions

A lovely way to get to know something of the area’s architecture and history is to follow the Les Chemins du Roman trail (by bike or car), which links up many of the area’s Romanesque churches and shows you several pretty villages along the way. If you’re keen to see a few more historic buildings, pay a visit to the medieval town of Charlieu and the extensive Château de La Clayette, surrounded by a moat (both 20 minutes’ drive). For more activities in the outdoors, plan a walk and a picnic at Viaduc de Mussy-sous-Dun (10 minutes) or take a trip to Lac des Sapins (40 minutes), where you can swim in Europe’s largest biological swimming lake, circle the lake on foot or riding bikes or horses and take to the water for windsurfing and sailing. A trip to Lyon will take a little over an hour in the car – it’s worth a trip here to wander through the Renaissance Old Town, visit the many museums and eat your way around the restaurants and the market stalls of Les Halles de Lyon Paul Bocuse.

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.
At least one of the party members must be aged 18 or over.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Please pick any available pitch on arrival.
The site will send you further check-in information 7 day(s) before your arrival.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Dogs

Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
Guide dogs are allowed on site free of charge.

Extras

Motorbike(s) can be brought instead of the car(s) included.

General

Please note that the toilet/shower facilities are unisex.
Quiet hours must be respected between 11:30 p.m. and 6 a.m..
Radio, music and TV players must be kept at a low volume. Car doors and boots must be closed quietly.
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.

Hired accommodation

Hired accommodation: €150.00 (£125.89) damage/cleanliness/bracelet deposit is required on arrival and will be refunded on departure after inspection of your unit should no damage/losses be found.
Your unit must be left clean and tidy; a fine of €70.00 (£58.75) will be charged for unclean units upon departure.

Pitches

Pitches: a €10.00 (£8.39) deposit is required on arrival and will be refunded on departure when returning the gate badge/barrier pass/toilet keys.
You must follow the management directives when pitching your tent/unit and related equipment.

Pool

Only park guests are authorised to use the pool.
Please note there is no lifeguard on duty.
Some facilities require the wearing of swim caps.
Swimsuits are obligatory and swimming shorts or Bermuda shorts are not permitted.
The outdoor swimming pool is open between 01/07 and 15/08 (subject to weather conditions).

Reception

If reception is closed on arrival: please contact the number provided on your booking confirmation.
Reception is open from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. between 01/07 and 31/08.
Reception is open from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. between 18/04 - 30/06 and 01/09 - 30/09.

Safety

Barbecues are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult at all times.
Firearms are not permitted.
Fires, barbecues and/or firepits will not be permitted in dry, windy and/or hot weather conditions.
