Liked This site is absolutely wonderful. The owners are wonderful. We came back towards our end of the trip as it was great!!! The animals are super friendly and all in all just fantastic.

Liked The rural setting was so peaceful and it was amazing to be surrounded by all the animals. Hosts were so kind and helpful! Big mention to the dogs who were so lovely and sky who loved a cwtch! Thank you!

Liked the owner of the campsite was super friendly as were all of the other guests. the breakfast buffet was great, even when one of the resident chickens jumped on the table and pinched the rest of my croissant. there were onsite emus, donkeys, chickens and ducklings which added to the atmosphere of the place

Disliked the electic hook up was only 6amp but we solved this with a simple UK adapter. this was made clear when booking so no complaint.

Local attractions

Decided to see a bit more of your rural surroundings? You can do so at a leisurely pace with a stroll around the waterfalls in Mortain (20 minutes’ drive), or at rather higher speed with an adventurous downhill ride at Normandie Luge (half an hour). If that’s got your taste for adrenaline going, there are more exciting antics to get stuck into (ziplines, treetop courses and bungee jumping) at AJ Hackett Normandie adventure park (35 minutes). Back down at ground level, slow the pace with a trip to the Musée régional de la poterie (10 minutes) or a wander around the ruins of Château de Domfront (25 minutes). If such things aren't a hit with the kids, try The Enchanted Village amusement park (20 minutes) instead, or head over to Zoo de Champrépus (45 minutes). The big draw around these parts, however, has to be Mont Saint-Michel (an hour) – the towering abbey on an offshore island is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of France’s most-visited attractions. In summer it stays open until midnight and makes a fine sunset trip.
