What a lovely little Auvergne bolthole this is... Camping du Viaduc's big pitches (around 80 to 100m² on average) have plenty of space to spread out on, and lots of trees and hedges all around create shaded spots that demand you sit down and pour a glass of something... In the summer months, relocate your relaxation to the restaurant area, settling indoors or out in the open air to have pizzas, salads and local dishes, snack on crepes or chill out with an ice cream from the sizeable selection of flavours (best be trying a few to find out which is the finest). This is a sociable place too, with welcome drinks on Saturday evenings and various gatherings in high season including live music nights, themed dinners and the occasional foam party. There’s a great little playground for the kids to escape to with their new pals, while all ages may opt for games of pétanque, table tennis or table football. Camping du Viaduc is 10 minutes’ drive from the Fades Besserve reservoir for beaches, fishing and watersports. There are some fab walks nearby, too (notably the Chemin Fais’Art sculpture trail) and plenty of family-friendly days out including the excellent volcano-themed Vulcania theme park half an hour away.

Local attractions

The site is on the edge of the Auvergne Volcanoes Regional Natural Park here, with the famed Puy de Dôme volcano just over half an hour away by car. Intrepid types may like to tackle the hike up to the top (for welcome refreshment at the café) but it’s worth remembering there’s also the option of travelling up on an electric rack railway with fab views from its panoramic windows. Not far from Puy de Dôme is the Vulcania theme park for lots of themed rides, shows and great views from the tethered hot air balloon that rises to 100 metres above the ground (perhaps no need to mention to the kids that it’s all rather educational too). Closer to base are the three beaches at Fades Besserve reservoir, with supervised swimming in summer and aquatic fun including waterskiing, pedaloes and fishing (for pike, perch and carp among others).

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Changes to your holiday

Bookings cannot be amended within 5 day(s) of arrival.

Dogs

A valid vaccination certificate must accompany your dog.
Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
Guide dogs are allowed on site free of charge.

General

In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.
Quiet hours must be respected between 12 a.m. and 7 a.m..
The grocery shop is open between 01/06 and 30/09.
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.

Hired accommodation

Your unit must be left clean and tidy; a fine of €150.00 (£132.56) will be charged for unclean units upon departure.

Safety

Barbecues are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult at all times.

Only one car is to be parked by the pitch. Extra vehicles must be parked in the designated area.
The car is only included in the rate if you are travelling with a touring caravan or a tent. Cars are not permitted when travelling with a motorhome/campervan.
