  • Naturist site at the centre of four lakes in Lot-et-Garonne
  • Half a mile from Canal des Deux-Mers; 25 minutes’ drive from Agen
  • Fishing, watersports, hot tub and a lakefront beach for wild swimming
Cycling along Canal des Deux Mers, eyeing up the atmospheric streets of Agen or looking for a peaceful spot for fishing and watersports? And looking for somewhere where you can spend your time with your clothes off? You should be pretty chuffed with a base like Camping Naturiste Les Quatre Lacs. This naturist site in Lot-et-Garonne is at the centre of four lakes and only 25 minutes' drive away from the city of Agen. Cyclists can easily stop off here, as it's also just a few minutes’ cycle from the Canal des Deux-Mers bicycle path. The lakes on site provide a pretty backdrop for your stay – and they also offer up activities including fishing, watersports and wild swimming. Set out over 12 acres of private land, the site has a bunch of excellent facilities including a hot tub, a clubhouse with a terrace and watersports such as canoeing, sailing solar boats and rafting. It's up to you whether you'd rather relax on an inflatable tube on the lake or challenge your pals to a game of pétanque. If fishing takes your fancy while you're here, bring your own equipment and be prepared for big fish including carp, black bass and zander. The fish are catch-and-release only, except for the catfish and perch. Despite having all these activity options, it's very peaceful around the site. Deer often drink at the lakes in the mornings, and there are often squirrels in the trees. You'll need to bring bottled water to drink and always be kind and respectful to other guests.

What customers say

This site offers a peaceful, natural setting with beautiful scenery and abundant wildlife. Guests appreciated the friendly host and good value. Facilities are basic but functional, with the showers noted as amazing. Some visitors enjoyed the secluded, nature-focused atmosphere, while one reviewer experienced a significant issue with the campsite not being as advertised, with no facilities available. Plans to return indicate potential for a great summer experience when busier.

Electric grass pitch

Liked Only stayed for one night but what a lovely peaceful site.
We were the only people staying as it was very early in the season.
Had a nice pitch pn the edge of one if the lakes, full etecric hookup so able to get the electric hotplate out and do some outdoor cooking. Site is basic but the shower is truly amazing.
Plan to come back in August when a few more people are staying as it looks like it will be a great place when fully ready for summer season.

Disliked Not much to dislike unless you don't like being naked in nature.

Local attractions

There’s plenty of nature around the site, so if you'd like to shake up the scenery with a day in the city, Agen (25 minutes’ drive) is a handy spot to do just that. The old centre has medieval buildings and a 12th-century cathedral for a little history, and if you’re more drawn to water scenery, strolling along the canal (and over the famed canal bridge) should suffice. Other nifty spots for a bit of history are Nérac (20 minutes), a town with a castle, half-timbered buildings and two old bridges, and Villeneuve-sur-Lot (45 minutes) on the banks of the Lot River, with a 13th-century cathedral and gorgeous arched bridge. For those days when you want quick and easy entertainment, there are several attractions a short drive away. Walygator Sud-Ouest (20 minutes) has plenty of rollercoasters. For a day on the waterslides, Aqualand Agen (20 minutes) is a large waterpark with tube slides and a lazy river. Head to Monky (20 minutes) for bowling, laser tag and arcade games too.
