It's free, quick and easy!
- Glamping and surf camp in the jungle two kilometres from Tamarindo
- Breakfast and dinner cooked by resident chefs: breakfast free
- Yoga classes, waterfall excursions and shuttle to surf beaches
Jungle safari tents in Costa Rica's Santa Cruz – with breakfast included, an on-site chef to serve you supper, and splendid surfing beaches of the Pacific Ocean a mere two kilometres away… it really doesn't get much more dreamy than that.
Have a safari stay here for as long as you can possibly manage (credit card balance: pfffft), to take full and enthusiastic advantage of this spectacular site's setting – on a jungle plot in the Tamarindo area – and daily activities: yoga, waterfall excursions, beach days and – natch – surfing.
This dreamy adults-only place is two kilometres from downtown Tamarindo and the beaches of the Pacific coast including the four top surfing spots of Tamarindo, Langosta, Avellanas and Grande; a shuttle service runs from here to there for easy waves and sandy action.
The comfy glamping tents on site are surrounded by trees in the jungle and have access to toilets, showers and free wifi. Site chefs cook breakfast (free) and dinner for guests every day, and campfires are allowed for guests who want to cook for themselves (just bring your own cooking kit).
Because of the Pacific Ocean location, the emphasis here is def on surfing, but there's more to do around the camp too, like playing table tennis or board games, testing your balance on the slackline or an indo board, or going for a bike ride. Or you could just procure a drink from the bar, lounge back and daydream in the common area among these lush and lovely surrounds, under a mango tree...

Route directions
From downtown Tamarindo, drive east towards the Banco National building. When you see the bank on your left, keep driving in the same direction for several blocks until you see the Dreamsea sign at the end of the road. Then just follow the signs for about a kilometre, taking three turns to the left. Alternatively, once you arrive in downtown Tamarindo, just call the site using the contact details on the booking form and they will provide a shuttle to pick you up.

Local attractions
Catch the shuttle straight from Dreamsea to get to four fine Costa Rica surfing beaches within a couple of kilometres: the Guanacaste region's Tamarindo, Langosta, Avellanas and Grande, and their waves for beginners and the advanced.
Tamarindo town is one of the top spots in Costa Rica for surfing, along with other watersports like snorkelling, scuba diving, paddleboarding and windsurfing. It's also a big and lively party town (huzzah), so leave time at the end of your surf day for dinner and drinks in the Tamarindo restaurants and bars.
Ziplining, horse riding, ATV driving and river tubing are all popular picks too in the jungle around Dreamsea and on Costa Rica's surrounding north peninsula. If you're in the country to wildlife watch (and you should be: Costa Rica has more national parks and protected wildlife areas than anywhere else in the world), head north to the Las Baulas National Park, to see the famed sight of leatherback turtles coming ashore to lay eggs from October to February.
