Just arrived in the Ardennes? Settle down at Ardenne Camping, a fab family-friendly site located in a peaceful riverside location, and you should soon feel right at home. The site's large pitches are spaced out in a green environment that's just right for families, couples and kids coming here in search of peace and quiet. Ardenne Camping's facilities are well maintained and will allow you to feel settled in no time, with handy amenities including a well-kept play area for younger guests and a modern bathroom block with disabled access. This laidback site allows dogs to come and join you (please keep them on leads though), and barbecues are welcome if you fancy a little outdoor cook-out. Ardenne Camping is also within easy walking distance of a very pleasant riverside beach on the Maboge river – showers, barbecues and a café are all available here, so it’s a great place to spend an afternoon. While it's surrounded by nature (including an on-site orchard full of local fruit trees), this handy little campsite is only a five-minute drive from the pretty little village of La Roche-en-Ardenne, a historic hotspot with a castle, attractive waterfront and handy amenities like supermarkets, restaurants and a tourist information centre.

Plenty of swimming opportunities to keep the canines cool.

Plenty of well signposted walking routes - some quite hilly!

Quiet town with a lack of facilities. go to la roche for shopping & restaurants.

This is a well designed site with large pitches and adjacent to a beautiful river.

Liked: Sehr gepflegter Campingplatz mit ganz neuen Sanitäranlagen. Direkt am Fluss gelegen, wunderschön idyllisch. Sonnig von morgens bis abends. Der sehr schöne Ort La Roche en Ardenne ist nur 5 Minuten mit dem Auro entfernt. Der Campingplatz hat auch einen Brötchenservice, täglich, außer Montags, das ist sehr gut. Alles hat prima geklappt, wir kommen gerne wieder.

Liked: Campsite was very clean. Toilets and showers are very close to the camp, modern and very clean. Staff is really friendly. Washer and dryer on the premises and can be paid by bank card. Right next to the river and close to great outdoor activities like hiking and canoeing. The beautiful town of La Roche is also close by. Campers keep to the rules and the site is really peaceful and quiet

Disliked: Right next to the road, but that did not bother me very much

Liked: Fab site excellent toilets and showers
Dits alongside a lovely river would definitely stay again may have more facilities such as a shop for bread milk and food when it’s not low season as now

Disliked: Having to pay for fresh water
No shop for basic necessities maybe as it’s out of season

De camping plaatsen waren goed gelegen aan de Ourthe, niks te kort wist eigelijk niet dat er zo een topcamping bestond een dikke 10!!!

Liked: De locatie, campingbaas was zeer onbeleefd en gaf in zijn eerste antwoord al aan dat: ‘we maar naar een andere camping konden gaan zoeken’, de reservering via pitchup was zogenaamd nep en de zaken die je kan reserveren/boeken zijn in werkelijkheid anders, waardoor je het dubbele geld kwijt bent op de camping. Dit weet je dus achteraf. In gesprek gaan met de campingeigenaar is niet mogelijk. Een man met een houdingsprobleem en ronduit arrogant.

Local attractions

Staying in the local area, you could saunter around pretty streets lined with historic stone houses in the hamlet of Borzée (10 minutes' drive) before taking the kids to peek at the wild species on show at Parc à Gibier de La Roche (10 minutes), a mini zoo dedicated to game. For cuddly encounters, there's also La p'tite Ferme Balthazard (15 minutes), a farm park where city kids can get up to speed with rural life. For riverside walks or watersports, make your way towards the Barrage de Nisramont (15 minutes), an impressive dam surrounded by greenery where all sorts of aquatic activities can be arranged. If you'd rather stick to dry land instead, a serene stroll around Parc Chlorophylle (25 minutes) may be the answer – this forest park has some brilliant trails and a great adventure playground for younger visitors. You didn't think you'd have a holiday in Belgium without sampling some beers, did you? Round off your trip by sipping on local ales at the Brasserie d'Achouffe (20 minutes), a well-regarded brewery that's home to La Chouffe, one of the most popular Belgian beers around.

Admission

All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.
At least one of the party members must be aged 18 or over.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Dogs

Dogs are not allowed if you are staying in the accommodation units.
Dogs are prohibited from main facilities and amenities.
Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
Guide dogs are allowed on site free of charge.
