Beach holiday in Blankenberge? By the beach is exactly where you’ll be at Vakantiepark Beachside – this family-friendly holiday park is a mere 50 metres from the beach, the dunes and the sea, so you’ll be able to stroll out onto the sand whenever you like during your stay. The seafront aspect of the location is fabulous, of course – but so is the fact that the park is just on the edge of town, giving you plenty of quiet green space on site while also putting you within easy reach of town-centre amenities. A walk of 10-15 minutes gets you to Blankenberge’s pier, restaurants, a supermarket, shops, a sports centre, a bowling hall and attractions including the Sea Life Centre and the Art Nouveau buildings around the town centre. If you don't want to walk, reach it by bicycle in under five minutes, by car in two minutes, or take the coastal tram which stops right in front of the entrance to the site. Getting around the surrounding area is probably best done by bike – there’s a good bike path running along the seafront, and you can pick up a network of countryside paths nearby too. Bikes can be hired on site if you can’t bring your own, and there are maps available to help you find the best local routes (with walking options available too). For easy trips to other destinations (Bruges being a particular favourite), there are tram stops, bus stops and a railway station. Back on the site there are various facilities available to help you have a comfortable and relaxed stay – these include a launderette, a washing-up area, a wifi service and a bathroom block.

Liked: 10 Minuten zu Fuß zum Strand. Tram in 5 Minuten. Kleiner überschaubarer Platz

Disliked: Keine Einkaufsmöglichkeit auf Dem Platz. Promenade nur Hotels und Restaurants.
Einkaufen muss man vorher, da man hier schauen muss. Es ist am Ende von Blankenberge.

Liked: The toilets and shower was very clean, the staff were friendly and the campsite was a decent size. The food truck that came looked great and I was excited to order but they only had cash option which was disappointing.

Disliked: Would have been good to have a shop onsite or have been given a little more information about where closest amenities are.

Liked: Sehr freundlicher Empfang, spontane Verlängerung war möglich. Sanitärbereich alles neu und sehr schön und vor allem sehr sauber. Zutritt mit einer Karte. Wir waren außerhalb der Saison, sehr ruhig. Viele kleine Mietobjekte auf dem Campingplatz. Strom und Duschen war incl.; Womo Entsorgung sehr einfach und auch Toilettenentleerung. Zum Strand nicht mal 5 Minuten zum Laufen, Straßenbahn direkt vor der Platz (kein Fahrkartenautomat vorhanden). Weg zum Bahnhof zu Fuß ca. 30 Minuten. ab hier in 17 Minuten in Brügge und 1 Std. 40 in Brüssel. Züge von innen super. Schöner Kinderspielplatz

Disliked: Honteux , vous arrivez (15h)personne à la réception , un n de tel a appeler qui vous dit vous avoir envoyé un mail (1 h avant dans les spams avec le n d’emplacement ).Ensuite vous allez au n. et vous vous embourbez (3camping car embourbés)vous retéléphonez et là on vous dit de tirer votre plan .Apres avoir rouspété vous devez payer 50€ pour que l’on vous envoie un 4x4 2heures après pour vous sortir du bourbier. 48€emplacement+50€depannage+1,5€ par douche de qui se moque t’on.Pour finir ns avons passé la nuit de nlle an sur du bitume entre 2 mobilhomes avec d’autres camping-cars qui avaient vécu les mêmes problèmes.
C’est véritablement scandaleux de profiter du système en sachant très bien qu’ils ne peuvent pas placer les camping-cars vu l’ état de leur terrain . Profit d’abord .

Normalement, nous ne répondons pas aux commentaires, mais pour vous, nous ferons une exception. Le fait que vous osiez écrire de telles choses est scandaleux. Vous avez été informé de toutes les informations et de la situation du parc par e-mail. Vous avez littéralement admis au téléphone que vous n'aviez pas pris la peine de lire le courrier et que vous n'aviez regardé que l'emplacement qui vous avait été attribué. Il était clairement indiqué dans le courrier que certains emplacements étaient inaccessibles aux camping-cars en raison de fortes pluies et que vous pouviez prendre n'importe quel emplacement libre dans le parc. Vous n'avez pas fait l'effort, le fait que vous soyez resté bloqué est de votre responsabilité. Nous avons fait tout notre possible pour vous offrir la meilleure solution. Vous n'avez même pas été facturé pour les douches, donc votre commentaire sur les 1,5 € n'est pas valable non plus.

Liked: SANITÄR SAUBER, schön gelegen, Stadt und Strand in der Nähe

Disliked: Diverse Fahrzeuge tief in unbefestigtem Platz festgefahren. Keine Absperrung und Warnung für matschige Rasen Flächen. Es gab keine Hilfe vom Platz, kein Personal vor Ort. Abend Platz sehr schlecht ausgeleuchtet. Keine deutliche Informationen wie Sanitärkarte erhalten wird. Nur 1 Sanitär Karte erhalten.

Liked: Angenehmer Platz im Strandnähe. Nicht zu weit vom Zentrum entfernt. Wir waren mit umser Wohnwagen da und hatten keine Probleme.

Die Strassenbahn fährt auch in der nähe.

Disliked: In der Winterzeit könnten schwere Fahrzeuge im Match versinken, aber da sollte der gute Camper schon zu verhindern wissen.

Local attractions

The three-kilometre stretch of beach in Blankenberge may well keep you occupied for a fair amount of your holiday, but that’s not the only thing the town has to offer. You’ll also want to take a stroll along the 350-metre-long pier (perhaps stopping for something to eat on the way, or looking out for one of the regular cultural events) and see more than 5,000 aquatic creatures at Sea Life Blankenberge. Elsewhere along the coast you may also like to take the tram to one of the neighbouring towns like Knokke-Heist (half an hour on the tram) or De Haan (40 minutes) – each has its own character. There’s also a lovely coastal park at Zwin Natuur Park (half an hour's drive), with coastal walking and bike trails through salt marshes and around the lagoon. Inland, you should certainly make time for a visit to Bruges (20 minutes' drive/half an hour by train) to take a boat tour, climb the Belfry, admire the architecture and visit the museums. And if you've got the kids with you, the rides and shows of Plopsaland De Panne (55 minutes) may well be on the cards too…

Admission

All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.

Changes to your holiday

Changes cannot be made once you have booked.

Dogs

A valid vaccination certificate must accompany your dog.
Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.

Pitches

A cable measuring at least 10 metres is needed for the electric hook-ups.
Pitches: a €25.00 (£20.93) deposit is required on arrival and will be refunded on departure when returning the gate badge/barrier pass/toilet keys.
You must follow the management directives when pitching your tent/unit and related equipment.

Reception

Reception is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. between 01/01 and 31/12.
Reception is unmanned after 5 p.m.. Please inform the site while on your way there should you expect to arrive after this time, so that the team can provide information about your unit/pitch.

Safety

Barbecues are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult at all times.
Firearms are not permitted.
Fires, barbecues and/or firepits will not be permitted in dry, windy and/or hot weather conditions.
