  • Pembrokeshire wild-style camping two miles from Narberth
  • Saundersfoot, Oakwood Theme Park and Folly Farm within 15 mins' drive
  • Firepit for each pitch; access to heated swimming pool and games room
Simple pitches where you can make the most of the peaceful Pembrokeshire countryside – but where you’ll also have access to some rather tempting leisure facilities a short walk away? This is the excellent mix that’s on offer at Great Redford Camping, where the site itself is all about the wild camping vibe, but it's just across the road from its sister site, a caravan park with a heated pool (indoor/outdoor depending on whether they've got the retractable roof up or not) and a games room with a pool table and arcade games. Camping guests are welcome to pop over and use these facilities whenever they like – although please note it's a few minutes' walk along a busy B road, and there’s no street lighting. A torch is handy for getting over to the other site, but it's also a useful thing for getting around the campsite area by night – this is, after all, a rural site with spectacularly dark skies (fabulous for stargazing, less good for finding your way to the toilet in the night). Speaking of toilets, the camping area has a washroom with a shower, toilet, sink and baby-changing table; there’s also a washing-up area here. Great Redford is a place that’s all about the natural outdoor experience – you may well get to spot things like rabbits, badgers, red kites and pheasants, kids have plenty of space to run about, and you’ll be able to spend your evenings cosying up by a campfire (there’s a firepit and picnic table for each pitch). For your barbecue and picnic supplies, head to Narberth, five minutes' drive away.
