  • Serviced campervan pitches in the grounds of a Pembrokeshire pub
  • Folly Farm three minutes' drive; 10 minutes to Tenby or Saundersfoot
  • Family-run pub with beer garden and home-cooked meals
Finding a campervan pitch in the grounds of a pub is always a good idea for ease of access to an evening meal and a drink or two at the end of the day. But it gets even better at The Begelly Arms, where you’ll get not just that but also a handy location that puts you within just a short drive of some of Pembrokeshire’s top attractions (beaches, castles and family attractions among them). This family-run pub is about half a mile from Kilgetty, in a very convenient spot close to both the A477 and A478 for easy journeys to all sorts of places – Folly Farm is pretty much just round the corner, and the beaches of Tenby, Amroth and Saundersfoot are about 10 minutes’ drive away, as are places like Carew Castle and Oakwood Theme Park. That means filling your days should be straightforward – and so should catering for your evenings, as the pub has a restaurant serving up home-cooked meals (using local seasonal produce where possible). There’s a good range of drinks, too – including an impressive range of whiskies – which you can sip in the cosy interior or out in the beer garden on sunnier days. You’ll be pitching up in the pub’s car park, which has a small number of dog-friendly hardstanding pitches with grass areas and services including water, waste and electricity. You’ll have access to the pub’s toilets during opening hours, and you can also buy breakfasts in the restaurant if you like. Dogs are welcome on site, but not inside the pub please.

Fully-serviced hardstanding motorhome pitch

Liked: Location and pitch

Disliked: No 24hr toilets or shower

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you for staying with us we do have a 24 hour toilet, but no showers, as we are a CAMpRA camper Aire, as opposed to a caravan and camping park. We have an elsan disposal and grey water pipe drop ins for camper showers and we do have pub toilets open 24 hours. But if you require a shower block our neighbours Buttles Caravan park who are a caravan and camping park provide showers, but obviously are more expensive to stay there. I am sorry we did not meet up to you expectations regards

Fully-serviced hardstanding motorhome pitch

Liked: Quite and fairly clean. The pitch was level and the facilities were good.

Disliked: No dog bins and rubbish bins were behind locked gates. Only a few pitches

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Hi Thanks for the review appreciated. In reply to your note on dog bins and rubbish disposal, there are dog bins in the village when you go for walks EG: the miners walk 150 yards down the road from us, and we do not have rubbish disposal when we asked for our licence from CAMpRA they have a philosophy of take rubbish home for disposal and we do not have bins for use by public. We keep our fees low for campers because of this.

Fully-serviced hardstanding motorhome pitch

Liked: Nice flat patio pitches with a bench. Easy access to public transport to Saundersfoot snd Tenby (10 minute walk to Kilgetty station)

Disliked: Would be great to have access to a shower, but having toilets is handy

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thanks for the review and your positive comments they are appreciated. in relation to the shower issue we are a Camper van Aire licenced under CAMPrA guidelines. which is why we charge a lot less. You may be better booking with camping and caravan park sites.

Fully-serviced hardstanding motorhome pitch

Liked: The site with EHU was very neat and situated in a pub carpark. It was ideally situated near to beach side towns/ village, also with lovely walks nearby. Shops and garage in very close proximity

Disliked: Although it was a fully serviced pitch a lot of the services ie water taps were damaged and unusable

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thanks for the review we appreciate it. in relation to your comments. When we set up we put specialised taps on the pitches which were advised to do by people with locks and these proved to be a wrong decision as some people misused them. We have now started replacing the taps with stronger brass types and with metal connectors. which should alleviate the problem. most owner are brilliant but some go out of their way to break or do stuff inappropriate, which makes life harder sometimes. thanks for your visit hope to see you soon

Fully-serviced hardstanding motorhome pitch

Liked: Lovely concrete pitch with electric and water supplied .eat in the pub fantastic meal gammon lovely .my partner had chicken salad and chips .excellent .peaceful nights sleep

Disliked: Lack of dog bins

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thanks for the review and the lovely comments. In response to your query on dog bins, There are several in the village for public use closest is 150 yards away on the local walk The Miners Walk. WE operate under the CAMpRA banner which is different from caravan parks camper vans are responsible for all their own rubbish disposal hence the cheap price to park. being a commercial premises we are obligated to sort and recycle any rubbish produced by us and to provide this for campervans and could and would be quite expensive so we operate under the CAMpra code of conduct found here. https://campra.org.uk/code-of-conduct/#:~:text=Fire%20Precautions,awnings%20and%20any%20other%20structures.
