On the prowl for a Pembrokeshire park for you and your pride? If your ears prick up at the idea of being next to a top-rated zoo, pounce at the chance to stay at Folly Farm Holiday Park. Pitching up here can save a pretty penny, too: guests at the park who buy a ticket to the zoo qualify for unlimited entry to all Folly Farm's attractions throughout their stay. Although close to beasts and beaches, these well-maintained and spacious grounds make a handy base for all manner of stays – strolls along the Welsh Coast Path, surf lessons in Saundersfoot or offshore jaunts to Caldey Island are all within easy reach. Getting around by road could hardly be more straightforward, as the site has direct access to the A478; it's also possible to take a break from driving and hitch a ride on a local bus that stops a few minutes' walk away. Folly Farm Holiday Park has all the essential amenities you'll need for a comfy stay: toilets, showers, a laundry area and a washing-up area. And on top of that, it's well supplied with scenic vistas too – these mainly come in the form of green Pembrokeshire country views (although you'll also catch glimpses of fairground rides between the trees… and you may even hear the roar of the lions from the zoo next door…) Barbecues are allowed here, as are dogs (a maximum of two per pitch). The nearest supermarket is in Saundersfoot (10 minutes' drive). Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo is home to food outlets ranging from sweet shops to burger bars.

Liked Size of the pitch was great. Plenty of room for camper van and awning.
The shower and toilet facilities were excellent.

Disliked Small niggle there was no freezer available to refreeze cool bag blocks.

Beautiful site and perfect for the dog with a huge secure dog field.

Liked Very friendly and helpful staff . The place was clean and well presented the grass and flower beds were extremely good 👍 the pichts were very large and a bonus with the water and waste facility on every pitch .it is a fantastic location for everyone family and couples

Local attractions

Want a break from the animals? Grownups in need of some fresh air and gentle exercise can partake in a putt at Trefloyne Golf Course (20 minutes' drive), while families fond of history have both Pembroke Dock Maritime Museum and Pembroke Castle 20 minutes away. Carew Castle (15 minutes) has more heritage to explore: the stones here date back to Norman times, and there's also a centuries-old tidal mill to peruse. Fancy some time on the coast? After paddling and ice creams in Saundersfoot (10 minutes), set sail for Caldey Island (15 minutes' drive, then a short ferry crossing), a goodly green outcrop maintained by a bunch of Cistercian monks. Alternatively, head west for beach days on the several sightly sands around St Bride's Bay (30 minutes). Folly Farm may well be the main event if you’re staying here, but kids can also be taken to Tenby's Dinosaur Park (10 minutes), Oakwood Theme Park (10 minutes) or for a ride on the Gwili Steam Railway (35 minutes).
