  • Well-maintained camping pods 10 miles from the coast
  • Oakwood Theme Park and Folly Farm within a 20-minute drive
  • Pods for a family of four, with kitchen, barbecue and private hot tub
Camping pods in Carmarthenshire – and how pretty (and well-priced) they are too. West Wales Camping Pods is a small, friendly and most welcoming site on a working farm, with pods sleeping up to two adults and two children (in a double bed and two camp beds), on an area of roughly four by six metres for each pitch. Each very well-kept and clean pod has its own adjacent car parking space, a table and chairs, a patio with a barbecue chiminea, heating, and a little kitchen area with a small fridge, a kettle and crockery. And while all of this is most handy, the highlight is still to come – because outside on the decking area each pod has its own private hot tub for up to four people. Facilities are sorted in the shower pod which has a basin, shower and loo. And as it's a working farm, there are plenty of animals around for little podders to see. Off site, West Wales Camping Pods is on the Pembrokeshire/Carmarthenshire border and about 10 miles from the coast at Amroth.

Camping pod (hot tub, private bathroom amenities)

Liked It was a lovely area, I liked how your left alone no one bothering you.
The kitchen area was really clean and well maintained.
The pod smelt of lovely burnt wood and was perfect for us, nice and warm. The bed was comfortable and clean.
The hot tub was nice and clean and well maintained, the cover wasn't in the best condition but this didn't affect anything.

Disliked I would say just the lid for hot and maybe the BBQs could do with a clean.

Camping pod (hot tub, private bathroom amenities)

Liked The lovely ladies, daughter, and mother have put so much effort into this place. Everything was planned with complete customer care. Access to the kitchen and all the essentials is available. Clean bathrooms with plenty of toilet paper, which is a common complaint with other places because they're always short on it. But here, you won't be disappointed! Peace and quiet, wonderful horses in the pasture next door, bleating sheep, and best of all, a bench, the ability to light a grill and campfire, and above all, a jacuzzi that stays at a constant +40 degrees and is cleaned daily at 11 a.m. I definitely recommend this place !!! XX

Disliked The only drawback is the heater not working when it got a bit cold at night, but I think if I had brought it to the staff's attention, they would have fixed it.

Camping pod (hot tub, private bathroom amenities)

Liked Loved the hot tub, the animals, the communal kitchen and that the owners were friendly and helpful.

Disliked Not really disliked but think some fairy lights or a solar light facing into the hot tub would have topped it off

Camping pod (hot tub, private bathroom amenities)

Liked A hidden gem in west wales!
This place was beautiful, very peaceful and relaxing.
You have your own little space with decking, stoned area with a fire pit and hot tub. The space is very well thought out giving you privacy with a stunning countryside view.
The pod is perfect and comes with a kettle, glasses and cups and cutlery, tea and coffee. You have a little fridge with a small freezer space and the bed is super cosy.

You have your own private toilet & bathroom allocated to your pod.

We will definitely be back again!

Local attractions

There's plenty to do in west Wales, particularly around its fine sandy beaches: too many to mention, but Wiseman's Bridge, Saundersfoot and Coppet are all popular stops. And the Carmarthenshire section of the Wales Coastal Path is very much worth a look, as is utterly beaut Carmarthen Bay. A fair bit of family fun is around too, at Oakwood Theme Park, the Blue Lagoon Waterpark, Heatherton World of Adventures and Folly Farm, while all ages should like flowing along for a look at the cascades of Cenarth Falls. See also the peaks and prehistoric trails of the nearby Preseli mountains just over the border in Pembrokeshire, and take a trip around the town of Narberth to have a poke around its shops, art galleries and the Narberth Museum.
