  • Dog-friendly glampsite in spectacular Monmouthshire countryside
  • Abergavenny 10 minutes’ drive; Big Pit National Coal Museum 25 minutes
  • Safari tents with spacious living areas, ensuites and camping kitchens
There’s no need to rough it at Seven Hill Hideaway, a glamping hideaway on a 16th-century Monmouthshire farm 10 minutes’ drive from Abergavenny in South Wales. Just book a safari tent and invite friends and family along for the luxurious ride. Each sleeping up to six guests in a combination of double, cabin and single beds, the tents have spacious communal living areas, ensuites and camping kitchens. Outside each one is a covered verandah with spectacular views to peaks in Bannau Brycheiniog (formerly Brecon Beacons) National Park. Everything is laid out for you when you arrive, not forgetting wood, firelighters, kitchen basics, bed linen, towels and toiletries. You’ll be kept lovely and toasty with a log burner for warmth and also for cooking. And don’t forget that you’re welcome to bring up to two well-behaved dogs (for an additional charge) to join you on your Welsh escape. Whether your idea of holiday heaven is unwinding in a country pub after a day of hiking, exploring the rich history of Monmouthshire or indulging in a Michelin-starred dinner, you’ll find plenty to occupy yourselves here. Prefer to hang out on the farm? The kids can pay a visit to the resident alpacas and goats, explore the woods and paddle in the steam, while you relax with a glass of wine in the hot tub or unwind with a captivating book on the verandah – all of which can be enjoyed with the backdrop of those stunning mountain views.
