Electric optional grass pitch

Liked Not much

Disliked I wouldn’t recommend this campsite, it is more aimed at for gypsies/travellers. It’s dirty, the toilets are disgusting. The cleaners are extremely lazy & spend most of their time stood in the toilets chatting. 2 days running there was no hand wash in the ladies toilets. The ladies showers I used 2 days running & they hadn’t been cleaned as the same false nails were on the floor. The floors in the shower cubicle my daughter used were black. The toilet in the ladies toilets had poo smeared along the seats. My husband said the men’s toilets were clean but they had a different cleaner.
The smell of drugs were constant day and night. The noise level is until 1am which is ridiculous. We ended up leaving early as two of the families who had turned up had ruined it for us with their constant music blaring & them smoking weed the whole time. The staff were made aware but didn’t care.
The cars drove through the site extremely fast.
I was absolutely mortified to hear children as young as 3-4 years of age using swear words, as extreme as C**T.
Highly recommend doing your homework on this place.

Electric optional grass pitch

Liked Great facilities. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly. Kids loved the swimming pool and the club house on an evening. Food is lovely and cheap. Toilets and shower areas were always clean. Large pitches for tents. Wish we could have stayed longer. We will definitely be coming again.

Electric optional grass pitch

Liked Family friendly. Allowed my son and family on site who lived in Swansea. While out for the day my gazebo nearly blew away , they called me to say security had secured it. Out of hours, glass had been smashed inroad and warden came within in minutes to clear it up after calling the number. Friendly staff. Pitches were good sizes.

Disliked Bit of a walk in morning for the toilets. Woukd ask to be abit closer next time we stay.

Electric optional grass pitch

Liked Good site with a good atmosphere, great for kids with on site pool and play park, good location for shopping and retail parks along with good place to walk aswell
Excellent value for money and will most likely return for a future holiday

Disliked Pitch segregation was a bit lacking but you still had ample room, rule discipline was very lacking especially in regards to the pool, and our experience involved rowdy people on close pitches making it difficult to sleep on the odd night, but it was still an excellent holiday

Liked Lots to do. Indoor pool was fun for the kids, not staffed though. The park was great, there is a lovely lake where you can go fishing. Just behind the site, there are several pathways to the river, which was a beautiful walk in the sun. The club house was nice, they served a good pint and had free entertainment for the children, then later on, the adults . The chip shop on site was delicious. There is a small shop for essentials and a cafe where we had breakfast, one morning. All in all, we had a fun few days here. Staff were friendly, toilets and showers were clean. We managed to book last minute, which was convenient and it was really cheap! Lots of people complaining on here, but what do you want for less than £30 a night! Hardly noticed the road that people moaned about, some sited caravans are looking a bit shabby, but what difference does that make? Some saying the toilets/showers need updating, but they work and they're clean. Honestly, don't let the reviews put you off. If you want a quiet site, I suppose this is probably not the place for you, though.

Disliked Cafe was a little expensive (in my opinion) but obviously you don't have to go there. Some people were loud, late into the night.

Electric optional grass pitch

Liked Absolutely nothing except maybe the drive out

Disliked Pitches so close together could hear neighbours either side of us swearing and arguing well past 1am kids were left on their own while parents were in their caravans or tents Filthy dirty everywhere I can honestly say in over 40 years of camping and motor homing this is the worst site we have ever been on.It’s basically a gypsy site and we should have been told this when we booked. Both sides of our pitch the men were coughing up their hearts in between smoking then spitting all over the grass swigging from can after can of beer and constantly swearing .The place should be condemned not fit for animals let alone a so called riverside farm park. I will put it on every review site I can to warn other people not to make the same mistake we did 😡😡😡

Local attractions

It’s not just beaches that lure people to this lovely area: the country parks are also swish, including Gnoll in Neath (15 minutes) with its 100-acre early-18th-century landscaped garden. Visit for Aberdulais Falls and the sizable waterwheel or to have a knockabout at the golf course. The Neath and Tennant Canal’s around here too for woodland walks beside water… Go south to Swansea for more nature at Plantasia (15 minutes), a big public hothouse with all sorts of plants to see; the city’s main museum will also keep you occupied for a fair few hours with its film showings and photography exhibitions. Weather looking a bit iffy? Get on over to the National Showcaves Centre for Wales (30 minutes’ drive) for underground antics in the Brecon Beacons’ 17-kilometre-long cave system.
