  • Hilltop meadow glamping with sea views near Swansea in Glamorgan
  • Half an hour’s drive to Swansea, 35 minutes to Gower Peninsula beaches
  • Walks and bike rides from site; shops and pubs five minutes’ drive
Set in the grounds of a working livestock farm, Panoramic Camping and Glamping has a small number of spacious pitches in a six-acre hilltop meadow with wondrous views over Glamorgan hills to the sea. The owners have been running the farm since 2007 and as well as a few friendly hens, you’re likely to see cattle and a flock of Llanwenog sheep grazing when you are out and about on site. And that’s not all – if you’re lucky you might also see a gorgeous sunset or two over the Loughor Estuary. Located in a convenient but peaceful spot near Swansea that gives easy access to the M4 – handy when you’re planning day trips – you can head for the beaches of the Gower Peninsula or test your mettle with climbs in the Brecon Beacons National Park. You don’t even need to get in the car – there are plenty of rambling opportunities straight from the glamping field, so setting off on your own biking or hiking adventures is a breeze. Forgotten something? No problem, there are handy stores in the local villages of Pontlliw (five minutes’ drive) and Pontarddulais (10 minutes) – and guess what? There are pubs there too.

Forget Me Not 1 bedroom safari tent (six person)

Liked: We had 1 night stay here. Was very clean and tidy. They have thought of everything, welcome basket with teas, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits and fresh eggs & milk from the farm. There was also firelighters, bbq coals and matches, enough for one bbq. The facilities were all clean and tidy. Loved that there was a little play area for the kids especially the trampoline. We also got to see the cows coming into the field backing off onto the site, which my little one loved. I would definitely come back again. Me and my family had the best time. Thank you.

Liked: Before arriving we were given all the information needed for the safari tent . On arrival we were met by the lovley host Helen . Our first impressions were wow 🤩 the campsite is immaculate and has amazing views over the valleys . There was a play park sandpit trampoline and room for children to ride bikes etc . Games for children .
The facilities at this park nothing has not been thought off . The cleanliness 10 out of 10 .
On arrival at our tent it was just perfect the smell of the clean bedding as you walked in instantly made u feel at home . On arrival there was a basket with eggs milk fresh from farm with biscuits coffee tea and sugar .
You need not fetch anything apart from food towels and clothes .
The fire pit was our favourite part ( also charcoal and firefighters included )
The beds were extremely comfortable and we had the best nights sleep .
It was lovley to make new memories here and the hosts of thought of everything to make your stay worry free .

Forget Me Not 1 bedroom safari tent (six person)

Liked: Fantastic stay even with the weather!!
Everything we needed.
Being a single Mum with two kids I can’t afford to go and buy all the camping equipment but this allowed us to have the camping experience without it the cost of buying everything.
Loads of little nice touches with the egg, milk, biscuits etc.
already looking at booking in a few weeks again!!

Disliked: Nothing!

Local attractions

Active types get out and about hiking and cycling in the Brecon Beacons National Park (40 minutes’ drive), and kayaking or following the sculpture trail at Lower Lliw Reservoir. Keen anglers bunker down for an afternoon’s carp fishing near Pontarddulais, and golfers can hone their handicap on the course close by (all 10 minutes’ drive). You might like to combine history and a jolly good stretch of the legs walking up to Carn Llechart Stone Circle and Cairn (half an hour), the biggest Bronze Age circle in Wales. Wildlife more your thing? Head to the WWT Llanelli Wetland Centre (25 minutes) to spot flamingoes and geese, or spend the day looking for rare butterflies, lizards or otters at the National Botanic Garden of Wales (half an hour). If the kids are demanding days at the seaside, head to the coast for fun-filled days on the sandy Gower Peninsula beaches (35 minutes). This being south Wales, you might need a rainy day option, so if the weather should turn on you, take off to the family-friendly and interactive National Waterfront Museum in Swansea (half an hour) and reward good behaviour with a go on the slides at neighbouring LC Waterpark.
