When a relaxed break on Anglesey is what the doctor ordered, Tyn Rhos Caravan Park should do rather nicely. This rural and dog-friendly park really is a quiet spot tucked into leafy countryside, with no clubhouse, shop, restaurant or play area on site. However, children are welcome to stay, and you should find all the pubs, cafés and shops you need a handy five minutes’ drive away in Moelfre. It’s also only 10 minutes’ stroll from the sweeping stretches of Lligwy beach – known for its golden sands, scenic views and beach café. Luckily the beach is also open for your furry friends, so they can join in with a splash about in the waves. This caravan park beckons hikers to follow sections of the Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path, which passes close by. It’s also in pole position for jaunts to the island’s great heritage attractions like Beaumaris Castle (25 minutes’ drive), or indeed back across the Menai Straits for hiking, mountain biking and climbing in Eryri National Park (40 minutes). Practical facilities cover all the essentials: modern toilet and shower blocks (including one newly built for 2025; a small charge applies for hot showers), a washing-up room and laundry.

  • Guests must bring their own duvets, pillows, sheets and towels when staying in rental accommodation. You will not be allowed to stay if you do not bring these items.

Liked Unfortunately nothing.

Disliked Sorry but not what we expected at all.
Photos on the website do not give a true indication of the fact that the whole site is on a slope - making camping and parking difficult.
Very small site as well.
Beach access is along a main road with no footpath or pavement.
Expensive in comparison to another site we stayed at with much better view, quiet and peaceful, better facilities and no additional charges for shower. Was happy to do without the electric hook up on that bssis.

Liked Clean site. Showers and toilets clean and maintained regularly. Washing area spacious and also clean.

Disliked Large dogs running round site off lead. Absolutely happy with children playing but football kept hitting car and tent area.

Liked The toilets are nice and cleaned regularly
Water and electric on every pitch

Disliked The lights stayed on all night this wasn't a big issue for was irritating a small amount

Liked We stayed on a grass pitch with no electric in our camper . Everything was perfect. Easy access to the beach, lovely peaceful spot, showers and loos were clean. A great base. We’ll definitely be back!

Liked The camp is in a lovely position with a 10 minute walk to the beach. Pitch had ample space. Facilities are good.

Disliked Couldn't sign in to the wifi and it isn't mentioned you have to pay through PayPal which is fine if the link worked. There was excessive noise from families who have seasonal pitches. Staff will deal with excessive noise if you call them at the time.

Disliked We cut our stay short due to the behaviour of some of the permanently pitched touring caravan residents and their children, the children we witnessed kicking a football against the toilet block door at 10:30PM (Explained the damage to the door).

From the manager: We're so sorry you cut your visit short. We do ask all of our campers, and our seasonal pitchers to be considerate and respectful of other users. Everyone is made aware of the quiet time which is 10.30pm to 9am. If we are notified at the time of any disturbances - our telephone number is manned 24/7 - then we will deal with it at the time.

Liked Site quite and spacious toilets and showers OK disabled one OK but needs a update.

Disliked Disability ramp bit tite to turn into toilet as used for my wife with mobility issues.

Route directions

Cross the Britannia Bridge on the A55, and follow the A5025 for 10 miles to Benllech. Continue through Benllech village to the site office at Bodafon Caravan Park and check in. Then continue on this road for two miles and turn right at the roundabout towards Moelfre. Go down the hill and turn left after the fish-and-chip shop. Continue for two miles to the blue-and-white sign for Tyn Rhos Caravan Park on the right-hand side.
