  • Spacious caravans 10 minutes’ drive from Benllech Bay on Anglesey
  • Pili Palas Nature World 15 minutes’ drive; Beaumaris Castle 20 minutes
  • Restaurant, family-friendly entertainment and two swimming pools
Beaches, shoreline walks and golf courses. Caught your attention? Then book to stay at Unsworth Caravan Holidays, set in Tŷ Newydd Leisure Park on Anglesey. From your base there, you can be on the beach at Benllech Bay within 10 minutes’ drive, join the scenic Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path just by the sands or be playing nine holes (with a backdrop of Eryri National Park on the mainland) within five minutes by car. Don’t feel like straying very far? There’s quite a lot to keep you on site. Younger kids can run around at the adventure playground while you keep a beady eye on them over a cuppa in the café. Indoor and outdoor swimming pools will keep all ages happily busy, and most weekends see a packed schedule of family-friendly events and entertainment. Another top-notch reason to stay is the on-site restaurant, where chefs prep delicious dishes using fresh, local and seasonal ingredients. If you’re after a bit of comfort on your North Wales break, you’re certainly in the right place accommodation-wise too. The caravans are well furnished and spacious, with dining areas, cosy sofas, TVs and fully equipped kitchens in open-plan living areas. There’s ample storage (and more TVs) in the bedrooms and two bathrooms (one ensuite). Moving outside, each unit has its own wrap-around balcony for relaxing and dining on warmer days.

What customers say

Caravans are generally described as clean, modern, and well-equipped, with some noting good wardrobe and shower space. The location is considered ideal for exploring Anglesey. However, several reviews mention the site appearing run-down and in need of maintenance, with issues like broken fixtures and dampness reported. Pools were frequently found to be too cold, and on-site facilities like the bar and restaurant had limited opening hours, with no shop available. Some guests also experienced issues with Wi-Fi availability and intermittent TV signal.

Dôn 3 bedroom static caravan

Liked Owner of caravan very helpful and understanding, apologetic even though most of the problem wasn't his fault he still went out of his way to make sure we were catered for, he arranged for us to go into another caravan and all was saved thankfully, if it wasnt for the caravan owner we would of left that night.

Disliked Was sold a holiday through Pitchup.com on the terms that there were Family entertainment/evening entertainment- arrived to find there was no family entertainment/evening entertainment with having 7 kids between me and my Fiancé having had family members drive us from stockport and no evening entertainment and non within the vicinity of the complex and no way of transport, unless it were taxis to go miles around to evwn just a shop. we were really stuck with things to do on an evening, this really upset us all - with not being able to afford an abroad holiday we were so pleased to have found a holiday on PITCHUP.COM we could afford for us all and had all the necessary facilities, we were ecstatic as a family. This was the biggest downfall unfortunately aside of that we were sold a 8 birth caravan that didnt have a sofa bed in working order or clean for that matter - we had to have the maintenance guy come around and fix it and with that they both stunk of weed! Leaving an awful stench behind them - not ideal for having kids in such a small space. All in all not happy with Pitch up or even the Caravan site. Basically a shambles if it wasnt for the owner of the caravan who helped us salvage what we could out of the holiday.

Morgana 2 bedroom static caravan

Liked Spacious caravan, modern interior.
Decent amount of wardrobe space and generous sized shower for a caravan!
Location was ideal for exploring, bar staff were friendly and the pool was much loved by the children in our group (way too cold for the adults).

Disliked Site has stacks of potential but currently looks a little run down - the outdoor pool area does look great, newly renovated but the water was way to cold to enter - also water in the indoor pool was super cold.
Not much going on in terms of entertainment but our party like to adventure so wasn’t a problem for us, may not be ideal for families that want to spend more time on-site.
No on-site shop or dining facilities.

Arianrhod 2 bedroom static caravan

Liked The caravan served the purpose of our trip, basic but everything we needed. Our friends were able to book a caravan through the same provider.

Based on a Relaxed site on the beautiful isle of Anglesey

Disliked Some minor things missing in the caravan, they could make it great if these were addressed.
Missing bulbs
No toilet roll
Missing pillow cases
Poor quality duvet & pillows
No dvd player but lots of dvds?

More site details are needed!
Bar open times? pool open times etc or how to find them.
Where to dispose of rubbish?
Recommendations of local amenities.

Also note…The site itself is very rough around the edges, but filled with friendly folk!
The pools weren’t heated & there is no food or shop onsite, not a huge problem for us but definitely worth being aware of.

Morgana 2 bedroom static caravan

Liked This is my 3rd year coming back to the same caravan, me and my kids love it! The caravan is clean, modern and has everything you need even an air fryer and WiFi which if you have kids you know that’s a must! Beds are comfy and decent size. The site has indoor swimming all year round and outdoor pool in peak times. There is a park, field for football and very friendly dogs and horses. We can’t wait to come back in the summer!!

Liked The site staff were polite

Disliked I am not picky at all regarding accomodation. It's just a base that I sleep in between exploring! I camp, glamp, caravan and expect very little. However, this is terrible value. The caravan is damp and rundown. The site staff keep it clean but I've never seen a caravan in such a bad state before. It was an hour after the checkin time before the owner got back to me. The site staff had to direct me to the caravan. No WiFi, no entertainment, no restaurant, no outdoor pool, indoor pool open intermittently. The bar is only open Friday and Saturday night. The site is very small and no disrespect meant but due to this it is very cliquey so it feels like you're intruding. The owners dogs have free reign but others have to be on leads so my girl got mardy as she couldn't play with them. Please please please avoid and go somewhere else. I have 3 children, 2 dogs, 5 step children and work and am spending my time writing this in the hope that others avoid and have a great time exploring this beautiful place but stopping somewhere else. Please stay somewhere else!

Liked Peaceful site

Disliked Not so much disliked, park was limited, three dogs running around but were friendly. Not much entertainment for children. It’s ok for a little break, we were out of season so I guess it is what it is, no food on site too. Swimming pool was freezing. Caravan was ok, some issues with the inside but that was explained.

Liked The location

Disliked We didn't feel the accommodation was anything like advertised. No onsite facilities available. The caravan was quite dirty especially the kitchen items, we had to wash it all up before we could use. No one directed us to caravan and owner didn't answer phone as was arranged. He called back an hour and twenty mins later which is very annoying after a long journey in the middle of winter

Local attractions

The golden stretch of Benllech Bay (10 minutes’ drive) is just the job for sand-castle building, swimming, fishing, sailing and windsurfing, so you’re sure to find something to do among all those options. If hiking is your thing, lace up your boots and yomp the Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path, accessed right by Benllech Beach, and keep a look out for dolphins frisking in the Irish Sea waves (especially around Bull Bay) as you stroll. Favourite family days out on Anglesey include feeding the goats, sheep and donkeys at Foel Farm Park (25 minutes), where you can also take tractor rides to meet the placid Shire horses. There are more animal antics to be had at Pili Palas Nature World (15 minutes), a treasure trove of creepy crawlies, butterflies and meerkats. Sneak a bit of history into your holiday schedule with a visit to medieval St Mary’s Church (half an hour), all that remains of the former village of Tal-y-Llyn, which was wiped out by the Black Death in 1349. You can also take self-guided tours of moated Beaumaris Castle (20 minutes), an impressive 13th-century landmark overlooking the Menai Strait.
