Liked: The campsite was lovely and peaceful, other campers were very friendly and respectful. Toilet/shower facilities were basic but all you needed; toilets were clean with toilet roll provided (the odd unplugged toilet but nothing the campsite can control) showers were warm, though you do have to press the button every 10 seconds or so but was a free shower so can't complain! Hairdryers activated by 20p coin that gets returned to you. Washing up station again basic but all you needed/was clean and easily accessible. Pitches were nicely spaced and most were protected by wall/trees with a nice view of the sea. Site was clean and tidy, and easy to find. 5 minute walk to the beach/arcades/bar/take away/supermarket and able to use facilities at holiday park across the road. Able to do a late check out for additional charge.
Disliked: No park on site for children but there was plenty of space for them to run around/only a short walk to the beach. Did have a louder group of younger lads turn up who were quiet noisy at night but not the campsites fault. Seagulls are over confident and were trying to break into people's tents, but again you camp at your own risk! Train track did run right past the campsite so could be noisy at times, but that's something you're fully Aware of if you do your research on the area.

Electric grass tent pitch
Liked: The couple that worked there were brilliant from start to finish. The weather was terrible the day we went, really windy and raining. Our tent was blowing all over the place and they came and helped, out of the goodness of their hearts, to put our tent up. We couldn’t have done it without them, and would have ended up sleeping in the car. We were all soaked by the end of it, but the tent was up. They explained how to use an electric hook up, been my first time, the short walk to the shops, arcades, chip shop and beach. They were brilliant. Made you feel so welcome. There was a problem with the toilets getting blocked but they were straight on it. Sorting them out and telling us, with directions, where and how to get to the toilets on the ajcent site. Had lots of conversation,s with them. Like I said they were so friendly, and wouldn’t have wanted to have had our holiday anywhere else. Will definitely be going back there for our next holiday, and really hoping they still work there. Unfortunately, I didn’t get there names.
Disliked: Absolutely nothing.

Electric grass tent pitch
Liked: Distance to the beach and local towns. Our pitch distance to the toilets was good too.
Disliked: I highly recommend you avoid this camp site. And here is why:
1) there is only 1 toilet block for the entire site, and for most of our visit 50% of the toilets were out of order (see photos).
2) the toilet roll is that awful rectangular sheet pulled out sheet by sheet. It mostly got stuck and came out in bits. It's fine for a public loo you will use once, but for a camp site you need to utilise for several days it's awful. There was only 1 hand dryer.
3) the showers were shocking. The water lasted 5 seconds at a time, there was no stool for shoes/clothes just the one duo hanger. You could only just fit in as an adult so no way of washing small children as well. Very family unfriendly.
4) there was 1 washing up station for the entire site!! Including tents/vans and pods. ONE! And it had no roof, so for the entire trip we had to wash our pots in horrendous rain and 40mph winds. Ridiculous and a completely poor oversight.
5) The waste disposal was disgusting and should be condemned. It's rotten and broken and just vile.
6) It rained the entire visit, which obviously wasn't the camp sites fault but the decking to access the facilities was poorly built with no drainage, so the floor was completely flooded. To get to the loo you had to wade through a pool.
7) The site reception was always closed. We were told at the end of the stay the main reception was on a different site, but this wasn't relayed to us at the beginning.
8) When we pitched we were told "to get the tent in the middle or we would get shouted at". My aunt, despite paying through the nose for awning (extra) was given the exact same sized pitch and was given the same threat.
9) We booked the site for the pool facilities. However the main pools (sunnysands) opening was delayed and the smaller pool that we had booked had glass smashed on the floor the day before so our booking was cancelled. The ladies at reception said they were ringing everyone to let them know, however we turned up 1 minute before our booking and they had certainly not tried to call us. A pitch booked specifically for the pool but we couldn't utilise them (Sunnysands being the fault of the campsite).
Very disappointed with the place from start to finish absolutely do not recommend.

Liked: The size of the site is ideal for us,we tend to stay away from the busy sites with lots of static vans as we just don't enjoy the layout and lack of privacy. But this site has the ability to provide both.
Disliked: Given wrong information on arrival. Told the pool was open and available for use ( to my surprise as I wasn't expecting it to be open) then when I contacted reception to book a slot I was informed I had been given wrong information and the pool was indeed not yet open. Proves via pitch up differ to prices when booking directed with the site . Option to select what plot you stay in when booking direct but that option isn't available via pitch up.
