When all you want is some peaceful downtime with your beloved, stunning Welsh landscapes and sunset views from an alfresco hot tub await at Moat Farm Glamping, five minutes’ drive from the village of Caersws in Powys. Set on a working family farm, your adults-only accommodation is in a smart artisan-built wooden pod with underfloor heating to keep you both cosy. The kitchenette is kitted out with all mod cons, the double bed has all linens provided and there’s an ensuite with a shower, sink and a flushing toilet. Outside space includes picnic seating (you can hire single-use disposable barbecues on site) and a woodfired hot tub (bring your own flip-flops and bathrobes), from which you can absorb the views of surrounding valleys and woodland down the Upper Severn Valley. The tub is also a wonderful spot for watching the sunset, stargazing on clear nights and witnessing the occasional appearance of the Northern Lights. Mid Wales offers an array of outdoor activities, including cycling, hiking and fishing, while Caersws village has a basics store and a chip shop as well as pubs.
