  • Pop-up campsite next to Dyfnant Forest in stunning Powys countryside
  • Lake Vyrnwy 10 minutes’ drive; Powis Castle and Garden 40 minutes
  • Grass pitches; breakfast service, barbecue hut and shared kitchen area
When you’re looking for an adventure under canvas accompanied by peace and gorgeous Welsh scenery, get ahead of the game by booking Forest View. Right next to the hiking paths of Powys’s Dyfnant Forest and half an hour’s drive from buzzy Welshpool, this pop-up campsite has much to recommend it in addition to spectacular views. A smart bunch of amenities include level grass pitches (some with an electric hook-up), a modern and heated shower block and a shared chill-out zone with TV, microwave, USB charging points, a washing-up sink and a fridge/freezer. If that’s not enough for you, then wait until you see the cute wooden barbecue hut – with 12 seats it's just the job for get-togethers with friends and family, and firewood, kindling, charcoal and firelighters can all be supplied. Even better, the site owners offer cooked Welsh breakfasts; just please get your orders in ahead of time. If you’re running short of anything, Forest View is 15 minutes’ drive from the village of Llanfyllin, where there’s a well-stocked convenience store as well as a couple of takeaways.

Electric optional grass and gravel tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked: Loved the site, hospitality was perfect and the cooked breakfast available was superb. Only minutes drive away from Lake Vyrnwy.

Disliked: Only two loos but this handled the small site adequately.
