For a break with easy access to the West Wales coast, check out Cwmtydu Caravan Site Certificated Location. This quiet little site, available to Caravan and Motorhome Club members only, is just 25 minutes’ walk away from Cwmtydu beach. This is a peaceful area near Nanternis, about 10 minutes’ drive away from the holiday town of New Quay and the beaches of Cardigan Bay. The flat grassy pitches are part of an eight-acre coastal smallholding within walking distance of sea views and lots of nature and open countryside. Footpaths run from the site to smugglers’ beaches, sandy coves, wild rocky inlets and grassy headlands covered with wildflowers. The Ceredigion Coast Path is a mile from the site too, with beaches, ancient woodlands, birdwatching spots and even good areas for dolphin or seal watching. Along the local coast there are heaps of opportunities for activities – perhaps a bracing swim or some sea kayaking will be tempting. There are two pubs in Llangrannog, 15 minutes’ drive away from the site, and some excellent fish and chips, Sunday roasts and other varied menus in New Quay. From New Quay, you could take a dolphin-spotting cruise around the bay or stay on dry land to polish off an ice cream on the harbour wall. This is a simple site with no toilets or showers, so you'll need to make sure you're sorted with your own facilities. There is, however, a wifi connection to help you plan your outings.
