What customers say

This well-maintained site boasts a lovely location, friendly and helpful staff, and clean facilities including a popular swimming pool. Guests enjoyed spacious pitches and the peaceful atmosphere, though some noted areas needing maintenance and dated facilities. While the bistro received positive mentions, issues with opening times and pricing were noted. Problems with wasps and occasional noise were also reported.

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked The site was clean and tidy, and the kids enjoyed the pool.
The scenery was great and the site was within easy reach of some great attractions.

Disliked Clubhouse prices were very high, and there was nowhere to get a breakfast roll or a quick coffee.
We booked a fully serviced pitch and paid extra to bring an awning but the pitch was so hard we could not secure the awning properly and the surface was very uneven.
Water in the showers and washing up area was cold and drainage (smell) was not very good.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked I cannot praise the staff at this park enough. So friendly and super helpful. The Bistro is also dog friendly and serve super nice food. Lovely swimming pool and lush green grass everywhere. I will definitely be back.

Disliked I did not dislike anything, however, a longer dog walk area would be much appreciated, but not essential.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Local attractions

As already mentioned, there's a whole heap of antics to keep you busy in these scenic surrounds, but before you scurry off excitedly it’s worth having a chat with the reception team, as they’ve negotiated a fair number of handy discounts at local attractions. Those who’ve come to this part to Scotland to stretch their muscles can tee off at a golf course 15 minutes’ drive away, saddle up for horse rides (25 minutes), clamber along the treetop courses at Go Ape Aberfoyle (half an hour) or sign up for canyoning and quad biking (25 minutes). Gentle canoe paddles on Loch Lomond can be had from Balloch (40 minutes), also home to the Sea Life Loch Lomond Aquarium and the departure point for scenery-snapping seaplane flights. Sticking to more leisurely pursuits? Slope off to Stirling (25 minutes) to see the castle, Wallace monument and aptly-named Old Bridge, which is said to have survived since the 15th century. Hanging out with the birds of prey at Strathblane Falconry (half an hour) is another fab choice, as of course is a dram or two at Glengoyne Distillery (25 minutes).
