What customers say
This is a well-regarded campsite, particularly praised for its friendly and helpful staff, cleanliness of facilities, and peaceful atmosphere. It's ideally located for walkers and offers good sheltered areas for cooking and relaxing. While most guests had a positive experience, some found the pods basic and overpriced, and a few mentioned midges and occasionally cramped pitches. Parking a short walk from pitches was also noted.

Liked Met Gavin de host, de omgeving, de atmosfeer het was eigenlijk wel heel erg goed hier.
Disliked Algeheel alcohol verbod op de camping als 43 jarige drink ik toch wel graag een biertje voor de tent.

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Quiet site, friendly atmosphere, level pitches, hot showers, clean facilities, kitchen with large covered area to sit, dog friendly, perfect for walking the West Highway Way. Owner knowledgeable and helpful about the area, walking routes and transport links and was kind enough to drop us at the bus stop for one of our walks

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked I was driving with a medium to large tent and this site caters more for walkers with small tents. Nevertheless my stay was comfortable and all the facilities are under the cover of a large barn.
It's a half hour walk into Drymen for the shops and pubs.

From the manager: Thank you, we're very happy you enjoyed your stay.
Don't take a pod extremely basic with no power and tiny beds
Kocoon camping pod (twin, two person)
Liked The toilets and showers were warm and clean. Host was helpful.
Disliked The pod was very very small with tiny narrow uncomfortable beds and no power. I paid extra for bedding and towels I did not think it was good value for money as I've stayed elsewhere much better for the same or less money

From the manager: Thank you for your review and we're sorry you didn't like our cosy Kocoons. Where the Kocoons have memory foam 'less than single bed' benches to sleep on and lighting only, our Green Pods and LandPod have a USB charge point and lighting, double beds and indoor and outdoor furniture, and are very popular also.
