What customers say
This is a highly recommended, quiet woodland campsite offering a secluded, wild camping experience. Reviewers praise the friendly and helpful hosts, clean facilities including a composting toilet, and beautiful rural surroundings with great views. The site is ideal for families and dogs, with communal fire pits adding to the cosy atmosphere. While some guests noted the need to carry gear from parking and a desire for more water, the overall sentiment is overwhelmingly positive, with many planning return visits.

Lovely site, good pitches, and friendly owner.
Pondwood non-electric forest floor tent pitch (four person)
Liked We liked that the campsite was small, with only 5 sites, with plenty of space inbetween, and surrounded by trees. There was a nice communal fireplace, and the site was isolated enough to feel like wild camping. There was a composting toilet, with a sink at the side to wash hands and dishes.
Disliked Be prepared to hike gear into the site from the car park, although wheel barrows are provided. Also, be aware that there is a railway line nearby, so you will hear trains. Not really dislikes, but worth a mention.

From the manager: Thanks for the lovely comments. We deliberately try to keep the nearly wild feeling by asking people to park away from the site, but also, as a working farm it can be quite busy at certain times.
Would definitely go back and certainly recommend.
