  • Peaceful spacious site 15 minutes' drive from Glasgow city centre
  • Loch Lomond and the Trossachs within 45 minutes’ drive
  • Five minutes' walk from spotting deer at Frankfield Loch
Park up for your hols at Red Deer Village Holiday Park, a family-friendly site less than five minutes’ drive from the small Lanarkshire town of Stepps and within easy reach of Glasgow city centre. This is a top spot for a city break with the peace of a countryside retreat: those who crave urban explores will be well-served by Glasgow – a 15-minute drive or a 25-minute train ride from base – for strolls through botanic gardens, sups at distilleries, culture at museums and galleries, and splendid shopping. For those more in need of a rural getaway, there’s plenty round here to satisfy too: the Frankfield Loch wildlife sanctuary is a five-minute walk away for wanders among wild deer, and a 20-minute walk along paths from the site will bring intrepid adventurers to Cardowan Moss woodland, where there’s a network of trails to follow on foot or by bike. Don’t spend too long away from site the though – settle in for quiet evenings away from crowds and chaos with some self-catered evenings by the barbecue (buy gas on site), piling on food picked up from the well-stocked shop nearby. Otherwise, Stepps has a handy pub, café and restaurant within 15 minutes' walk of the site. Clean up after dinner by dispatching humans to the always-hot showers, and sort dishes (and stained clothes from sloppy eaters) at the dishwashing facilities and launderette.

What customers say

This well-maintained park offers a clean and quiet environment with excellent facilities, particularly the warm and spotless toilet/shower blocks. Its prime location, a short walk from Stepps station, provides convenient and quick access to Glasgow city centre. Guests appreciated the spacious pitches and the secure feel of the site. While some reviewers noted issues with outdated facilities, limited staff presence, or occasional noise, the overall consensus highlights the site's cleanliness, location, and helpful staff as major advantages.

Non-electric grass tent pitch (small)

Liked The reception staff was lovely with greeting us and very helpful with finding our allocated pitch area! Great local area with a few pubs and places to eat nearby if you have a vehicle

Disliked Showers got very hot quite quick and the shower heads made it so it was difficult to wash yourself as they spray a dome and not a stream
