  • Family park among the dunes of East Nairn, 15 miles from Inverness
  • Golf course, marina, beach and Moray Firth views
  • Pools, Jacuzzi, sauna, restaurant, bar, crazy golf and nature trails
With a handsome golf course on one side, a pretty marina filled with bobbing yachts on the other, and a panorama of golden sands and the sparkling Moray Firth in between, visitors to Nairn Lochloy Holiday Park certainly won’t find themselves short of a decent view… The park sits right among the dunes of beautiful East Nairn beach, about 15 miles from Inverness, making it a top spot for a Highland fling. Nairn Lochloy Holiday Park has excellent facilities for families: a kids' splash pool sits alongside the indoor pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and solarium; while the Star Landers and Freestyle kids’ clubs for tots to teens will have their imaginations running riot as they zoom into orbit at the Space Academy or travel back in time to solve an Egyptian mystery. With crazy golf, nature trails, and an outdoor play area too, there’s plenty of active fun to wear them out (and hopefully guarantee you some decent shut-eye). Grownups aren't neglected on the entertainment front either, with the all-singing, all-dancing Parkdean Troupers ensuring that the fun continues into the night at the Drifters family entertainment suite. Aside from the usual amenities, there’s also a restaurant, lounge bar and pizza parlour on site, plus plenty more food options in nearby Nairn.

Star Dunes fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Loved the location, right next to the dunes which lead to the most beautiful white sand beach I have ever seen!
Not too many touring pitches, only about 20.
Clean toilet block and the showers were fabulously hot and the room was heated to perfection!
Liked the reception staff and the layout of the site in general, it looked very clean and tidy.
I didn't use the pool and club, or the restaurant, as I like the camping experience and use campsites so I have access to water and electricity.
I chose Nairn for the stunning Highland location.
I travelled up from my home in Cornwall with my teenage grandsons, a 13 hour drive, to enjoy the mountains, Lochs and the sea.

Disliked There was nothing to dislike!

Star Dunes fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Toilets, showers and ease to get to beach and country walks with my dog 🐕

Disliked Grey water drain blocked
Took ages for tap water or waste water to drain away.

Good site but not great.
I stayed in May £28 midweek with EHC.
Believe it's £70 per night at peak times which is way over priced.
My biggest gripe is £4 per night for my one dog.
Why !
It's in my van.
IMO just a total rip off for doing sweet nothing.

Liked Pitches were big with plenty space

Disliked Visited the restaurant and was told they had a section where dogs were allowed my sister arrived with her dog but as soon as we were finished our dinner we were asked to leave as her dog had barked a few times
What do they expect if they allow dogs

Non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked Park was very well kept, facilities were great. Toilet block was spotless. Food was good. Entertainment was ok. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Beaches were absolutely stunning.

Disliked Meals and snacks were a bit overpriced.
Camping area was the furthest point from the main entertainment and restaurant area, however this didn't really affect our stay.

Star Dunes fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Location and on site restaurant was handy, food good

Disliked Toilet block was dirty. Literature on site said they were cleaned several times a day, we were pitched opposite for 2 nights and saw the staff calling round to clean but all they did was squirt blue solution into the wc's. The actual room / cubicles were filthy

Star Dunes fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked The area and well laid out site for families.

Disliked The shower cubicles were a bit dangerous, when you came out the floors were extremely slippery. Nowhere to sit and change into your clothes. Nowhere to put your toiletries, shampoo et.
In the gents toilets, quite a few of the toilet seats were loose so when sitting down you slipped back and forth.

Non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked The sandy beach was just a walk over some sand dunes. Absolutely stunning. Warm welcome when we arrived.

Disliked Tent was right next to a water treatment works that made a loud mechanical noise at night - luckily had ear plugs and it was not smelly!
