What customers say
This immaculately clean and well-maintained site is praised for its friendly and helpful staff, peaceful atmosphere, and excellent facilities, including a games room and spacious pitches. Visitors particularly enjoyed the lovely dog walking field with river access. Its convenient location near Dumfries is also a highlight. A recurring suggestion is for additional toilet and shower facilities, particularly for peak times, and some found the placement of showers within the games room slightly awkward. Overall, the site is highly recommended for its quality and value.

Lovely quiet site.
Electric gravel pitch
Liked Lovely quiet site which looked to be new or newly refurbished. Nice countryside views and only a ten minute drive into Dumfries. Beautifully kept grounds.
Disliked Only one shower and two loos close to the touring pitches, although more were sited near Reception.

Lovely maintained site fairly close to Dumfries. Definitely going back
Electric gravel pitch
Liked Lovely clean maintained site. Only 15 pitches so very quiet and friendly. Showers in the shower rooms are very spacious with a toilet and washing basin in each room making it feel as if you were in your own bathroom at home. Warden often driving around the site giving a friendly wave or a wee chat. A half hour walk into Aldi and not much further to a retail park.
Disliked Only one shower room beside the pitches but there are another two equally as nice a short walk to the wardens office. We did have to make the wardens aware one day that the bins in the shower rooms and toilet in the games room were full to overflowing, there was no hand-wash in the toilet and the blue roll for drying hands had ran out. We therefore assumed that no cleaning had been done for maybe three days.

Nice location, good shower (also the only shower).

Liked Quiet location.
Wifi included.
Kids liked the pool and football tables.
Disliked One toilet and one shower. Not sufficient for number of guest.
The alternative (2 other toilets at front reception) is too far walking, hence no one uses them. Create more toilets om campsite.

Amazing, clean, beautiful site
Electric gravel pitch
Liked Toilets and whole site were immaculate, owner was really lovely, helpful and warm and welcoming, gorgeous little slow flowing river a two minute walk away, disabled friendly too.. we booked a week too early by accident and the owner was amazing about swapping the dates for me on the same day we were supposed to arrive, he was so understanding and immediately said not to worry there was space for us for the week following, will absolutely be booking again, also the games room with snooker, microwave, hot water, coffee, tea and sugar were a massive bonus, also the owner was really proud of his cleaning staff aswell and couldnt compliment there work enough even though they were on holiday, he seemed really grateful to have such good staff

From the manager: Martin it was a pleasure having you stay with us. Thank you so much for your lovely review.
It's nice to hear you found our site very peaceful, immaculately clean and well kept, with immaculate shower/toilet facilities. Yes as you say Martin we are very lucky to be on an excellent road network to easily reach local towns, villages, etc.
Martin we are so pleased we could help sort out your power problem inside your caravan. We are a friendly bunch here and will always help our guests if needed. The team will always try to go ONE STEP BEYOND!!
We really hope you will visit us again soon. Thank you again Martin for taking the time to leave us a glowing review.
Friendly people on site. We would use again.

Liked Lovely little site. The manager was very helpful. Easy to find and just off the road which was good for us. The shower room was a lovely size and hot running water.
My son enjoyed the games room too.
I used the washing machine which was the cheapest one we’ve come across during our tour of the UK.
Disliked Nothing.

From the manager: Lisa thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review, and a really nice review at that.
It's so nice to hear you say that we have a lovely little site. Also that the manager was very helpful. The team always try to make our guests feel very welcome and help them when needed.
Lisa you said that the site was easy to find. Yes we are very lucky to be directly off the A76, so no winding country lanes, but also the touring site is away from the main road, so you can enjoy a peaceful setting with beautiful views and a lovely walk alongside the river.
Thank you for saying the shower room was a lovely size and hot running water. We do have a lot of our guest comment how lovely the showers are and it nice to have a lovely size room to get dried and changed in.
It's also nice to hear your son enjoyed the free games room.
Our laundry facilities are used by many of our guests and it's nice to hear it was the cheapest you've come across during the tour of the UK. We are not one of the big company campsites where their aim is to make a lot of money. Our site is a family run site and we want our guests to have an enjoyable stay and not feel like we run the site just for the money.
Thank you again for your lovely review Lisa.
