  • Holiday park with spectacular coastal views
  • Close to a nature reserve famed for its seabird colonies
  • Bar, lounge, indoor sports court and kids' club
Your eyes and mouth will widen as you take in the panorama at Eyemouth Holiday Park on the Scottish Borders: in one direction are the plunging cliffs of St Abbs Head, a 200-acre nature reserve famed for its seabird colonies, and in the other, the curving golden sands and harbour of a scenic seaside town. The park’s facilities include an indoor sports court, outdoor playground, Sparky’s kids' clubs for children aged up to 11, and the Driftwood complex, which houses a bar and lounge, amusements, and live entertainment at weekends. Guests also have free access to the indoor pool in the neighbouring town of Eyemouth, less than five minutes’ walk from the park.

Liked Good pitch and modern toilets and showers. Lovely coast walk from the park, with fine views.

Disliked Huge park - got lost! Very regimented. Quite expensive - £52 for one night in our small campervan

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked Nothing, apart from close too coastal path to Eyemouth.

Disliked The showers, all two of them in the gents, had black mould on the grouting, badly in need of upgrading. The toilets were marginally better. Doors to the showers and toilets were locked and the mechanisms on the locks were unreliable, difficult to operate, did not always work, and are in need of replacement. These facilities look like they belong to the 1970's and have not been upgraded since then.
We had booked an electric grass pitch, and got a hardstanding pitch. I cannot recollect seeing grass pitches. The Pitchup website is misleading stating that there are 16 caravan and 16 motorhomes pitches There were only 16 pitches in total.
We were wakened every morning at 5.45am by cars leaving the statics, obviously going to work as the same vehicles left at the same time daily. Our pitch on the touring area was on the road towards the exit.
WIFI has to be paid for and is unreliable, if available at all. Surely this should be included as standard in this day and age, as quality sites do.
There is no motorhome servicing area for, for example, waste water. The chemical disposal is in the open air beside the bins. Awful!
We had some security concerns as it appears that people not using the site cut through. There was no visible sign of security operating.
Unless Parkdean Resorts is able to upgrade the facilities, it should close the touring area, as it appears it is not serous about providing up to the up to date quality facilities expected by tourers.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked Very quiet midweek. Toilet and shower block very clean and you dont have to press the a button repeatedly for the shower . Great location for the coastal path. Brilliant Italian ice cream shop in town with a chippy next door. Best I've eaten in a long time.

Disliked Filled up at the weekend to max, with little private space

Local attractions

Eyemouth’s harbour is home to a busy fishing port and fishmarket, and is also regularly frequented by seals and swans. The town has eateries and shops, an art gallery, a museum and maritime centre, and trips out on glass-bottomed boats in the warmer months. The park is well-placed for walkers and cyclists who want to explore the Berwickshire and Northumberland coastlines; this being Scotland, there are plenty of golf courses around too. The walled border town of Berwick-on-Tweed is only 15 minutes away by car and has a good range of shops, plus a military barracks and museum, and a splendid railway viaduct. Venture a little south into Northumberland and you could visit the Holy Island of Lindisfarne or Bamburgh Castle, both well worth the trip.
