What customers say
This campsite boasts a stunning, scenic location close to Oban, with many guests praising the beautiful views and friendly, helpful staff. Facilities are generally reported as clean, though some mention they are dated and could benefit from upgrades. While many enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and spacious pitches, a significant number of reviews highlight issues with unlevel, muddy, or poorly defined pitches, particularly for larger vehicles, and concerns regarding the water supply. Ongoing development work was also noted by several visitors.

Average level of campgrounds
Electric grass touring pitch
Liked Calm campsite
Disliked - Fresh water must be cooked, so we have not filled our freshwater tank
- Grass pitches have a large inclination, we could not level our camper van (the statics are leveled well and have gravel for the car)
- grass pitches are very wet, drainage goes over the grass pitches
- some cars or campervans may have the tires spinner
-WLAN only at the reception, camper kitchen (inside) no WLAN
- no Mobile Data

£36 a night not good value for a site with no drinking water
Electric grass touring pitch
Liked Good views over the Loch. Lower camping field was quite private.
Disliked The water sourced from the hillside above had to be boiled before drinking. However, there ought to have been some provision of drinking water on a site this size. And a price reduction.
3 miles from Oban - not walk able

Nice location, facilities need updating
Electric grass touring pitch
Liked Location, been coming for 37 years, has a certain charm that is diminishing as the site is becoming more developed. It was clean and staff were good.
Disliked Water unfit to drink, and not notified till arrival, huge investment in new cabins and statics and not sorting the basics, although they say they are working on it. Police arresting a drunk woman at 6pm and open drug use, not really the sites fault,? Impossible to drain motorhome on designated drain point due to slope

Electric grass touring pitch
Liked Loved Oban for shopping and had a great meal at The Oyster Inn
Disliked Booked because I thought it had a sea view but when we sought out the pitch with electric no views - large group of men opposite camping decided they wouldn’t walk the short distance to the toilet so in full display of everyone urinated in the bushes - toilets were not that clean but the washing up area was even worse - we didn’t stay the full weekend - no one in reception to tell this to would never go back

Hazardous access route. Great location and view.
Electric grass touring pitch
Liked Beautiful view, next to the waterfront.
Can walk up the hills at the back.
Shower is hot enough.
Disliked The road leading to the site is so narrow, driving a motorhome there is a big hazard if there’s incoming traffic. Google map direct us to the road that passes through a housing estate, then up this extremely narrow hilly path. Had the scare of our lives. The route along the coastline is better, take that one instead.
No one at reception, one actually can stay for free after hours.. lol
Electricity surge at night and tripped off the fuse, ended up with no heating second half of night.
