  • Peaceful touring park on the shores of Loch Creran in Argyllshire
  • Dunstaffnage Castle and Chapel 20 minutes’ drive; Glencoe 25 minutes
  • Loch views and fishing from site; whisky pub five minutes’ drive
Set in the historic region of Appin on the west coast of Scotland, Creagan Station Tourers is handily located just off the A828. This modern, well-kept site is a clever base for a few nights exploring the surrounding area, as it’s close to the seaside town of Oban (15 minutes’ drive), Fort William (40 minutes) – the hill-walking and climbing capital of the UK – and the mountains or winter skiing of Glencoe (25 minutes). Spacious touring plots all stand on laser-levelled hardstanding, and each has an electrical hook-up and water supply. Bike hire is available on site if you’re keen to get pedalling on the Caledonian Way (five minutes’ ride). If you’re happy to have a mooch around the place rather than dashing off to explore Argyllshire, firepits and seating areas are set along the Loch Creran shoreline, with lovely views over the loch and surrounding, heather-clad hills. In the village of Appin (five minutes’ drive), you’ll find an old Jacobean pub dating from 1690. Recently resurrected, it’s known for its tasty steaks and vast array of whisky. A visit is recommended by the site owners.
